Hopefully bye Jarvis II
If this is actually the case, this makes for a great "fans with sources" story.

My friends a realtor in Pittsburgh, said Houston contacted their agency about apartments in the area.
who has that much money and wants an apartment?
Every year a player uses the narrative of coming to the Steelers as leverage for a larger paycheck. News flash. If Houston was gonna be a Steeler he would be one. Either by trade or FA. He is using the Steelers
Maybe he has no intention of permanently moving his family to Pittsburgh, and just wants to rent an apartment during his time as a Steeler? Or mYbe the realtor agency also deals with potential condo buyers, and he's looking to buy one?
Hopefully bye Jarvis II
Thank you Nostradamus

the Steelers couldn't trade for him with his $15 million price tag....the only way was for him to be cut and signed as a FA....right now they need to open up some space to afford him...not saying it will happen, but it still could

not releasing Bud by Wednesday probably put the kibosh on getting Houston. That $9M, fifth year option doesn't look smart right now.
Had they made the move they would have taken on 6 million more against the cap to have a ROLB after releasing Dupree. If they try to sign Houston, what do you figure they will pay? And only one can play. Literally no one is taking on Bud Dupree's nine million dollar option which may not even be a possibility as that contract might be guarenteed by the Steelers. So is the consensus that this was all a false alarm or just rumors? Don’t really see any actual news reports...
