After the end of the Steelers’ 2018 season, tight end Jesse James compared the drama that enveloped the team over the course of the year to something one might see on a TV show starring the Kardashians and the topic came up at his first press conference as a member of the Lions.

James said he enjoyed his time playing for the Steelers, but admitted to being “glad to get away” from the drama. He added that the Antonio Brown trade “had to happen” because things were “out of control” by the end of the season.

That’s in James’ past and he also talked about what’s to come in the future. He said he felt he had some success offensively with the Steelers, but thought his role and his production will be bigger now that he’s in Detroit.

“I think it could have been better,” James said, via the Detroit News. “Offensively, I wasn’t used the way I feel I could be used here. I feel like my ceiling is much higher here than it was in the past.”

I’m glad he kept it more professional than not. I think he was in O’l McDonald’s shadow and now he is out from under it. I definately don’t wish bad his way but they’re he is no longer a Steelers player so I don’t really care, unless they’re playing us then crappy game his way...... one last thing,..... why didn’t you crack #shit4brains a time or two.......???

I feel like we used him quite-the-****-a-bit, but he had a penchant for drops.

He's right about the circus shitshow our team has become.

He's not wrong. I'm sure it was a nightmare dealing with Bell and Brown's idiocy.

Glad he is drama free now. Detroit wins super bowls left and right.

Jesse James is a solid guy. I know it's been said. But I have no problem it being said more. The fact of the matter is the house should have been cleaned with the coaching staff. They are not responsible for individual acts, but they are certainly responsible for the culture of the team. And clearly it had run amok. Ultimately, I am a Steelers fan. I would really like Coach Tomlin to lead this team to another Championship. I think he is a decent man. Don't hate him. Unfortunately, I've come to the conclusion that wont happen. And this team needs to move on. So I'm glad James said these things. Only if it becomes embarrassing will Tomlin be gone. And then rebuild can truly begin.

He will be used more as a pass catching TE now and his numbers will probably go up. That is what he is happy about.

I always go back to three yrs ago when Stan savran said the Steelers were the most immature team he’s ever been around He was obviously lying also right? The Steelers have a huge issue you fans can go back to putting your heads in the sand

Meh....
The Steelers have had a serious issue for the past 3 years but for some unexplained reason ownership are the ones with their heads in the sand. The fans have known that problem, it's expressed here often.

Some here want failure so they can say...... “I told you so, I’m the nastrodomus “. Jesse said he’d be back that wasn’t the option. The two biggest player problems are gone and the head coach has been VERY talked to. Now it’s a wait and see but a long ways from falling apart. Many pieces of the puzzle have been reestablished and moving forward. Now it’s time to allow hints to work.
