LeVeon Bell......Signs with J-E-T-S JETS! JETS!! JETS!!!.....BREAKING NEWS!!!

wonder if he'll celebrate his new contract by blazing up some trees?

not so free at last, now are you, dipshit?

Surprised Oakland wouldn't have matched that. I think if he played on tag for Steelers and had a good year, he would have got the deal he wanted.

AB probably didn’t want him, he would have taken away targets.

He’s paying at least an extra 2.1 million in taxes plus the 14.5 he’s out from last year add that up with the lower deal and he’s about $20,000,000 short. I hope he enjoys his new QB not getting him the ball where he wants it and the Oline not getting up field with those blocks he enjoys.

It's NOT the offensive line that made him but it's the delayed style of running that did all the wonders.

Salute the nation

How long until he gets suspended again? I'm betting by week 12 ... If he still is healthy and playing

You can be all "hahaha Bell got pwned" but consider that a player in his prime wanted out of our team SO badly that he was willing to forgo a year of salary to escape.

We look like the idiot chumps, not him

I bet tweet man is sorry he threw away the millions he did by not reporting to Steelers, made himself look less valuable to teams.

What???? Hahaha, it had zero to do with that. It was all about the $$$$. If he knew the Steelers offer was the best he'd get, he'd have signed that deal. Just stop trying to make **** up.

It's not that he wanted out, but he wanted guaranteed money. Bottom line. He took the best deal he could get in FA. He trolled the Jets on social media that they couldn't afford him. Guess what, they did and he now looks foolish. If he's happy in NY, good for him. The Steelers offered him a fair deal and what turns out to be more money over the length of the contract.

In the final analysis my opinion is: Bell was a good teammate, and a great talent, but was about the money. AB was a great talent, hard worker but was about the money and personal accolades and didn't really care about team goals.

Bell can suck it. He got what he deserved. I still don't understand it but my guess is that drugs are involved somewhere. Could he really not foresee this? Everybody that was talking about the Steelers needing to pay him for being a RB and a WR are ******* ignorant of how the NFL works. Nobody was ever going to pay him that type of money. This is a young man's game. Even at 27 RBs are usually on the down side of their careers. The draft is just around the corner and draft picks are worth their weight in gold. Teams needing RBs can find good ones in the draft for pennies and use their cap space elsewhere. I'd never spend top money on a RB in this league in this climate. Bell being a moron is the best thing that could have happened to the Steelers even if they don't know it yet. Save that $$$ and find someone to cover a TE.

Steelers offered like $10M guaranteed - basically a small signing bonus. Supposedly, also offered "semi-guaranteed" $33M in a "rolling guarantee" over 2 years. And guess what, even that entire 33 is not really guaranteed - the Steelers had an out if they needed it. "Teams demand rolling guarantees with a period of time each year in which a player they just signed can be released after any given season with almost no cash or cap consequences." https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...-contracts-means-that-most-teams-have-an-out/

Like he was ever going to get $70M or real guaranteed money from the Steelers.

I wonder if his new deal with the Jets includes the same bullshit rolling guarantees for that $35M? If it does, then i think Bell lost big. If not, Bell "got paid".

Bell's situation is unlike A *****'s
Bell had made it known he didn't have loyalty to anyone but money.

plus the 14.5 he’s out from last year...

Is it so incredible and beyond belief that Bell plays one more year into his 30's because he sat out last year and has better longevity from less wear and tear? 14.5M recouped.

You must be Bells agent. You are using the same type of math they have been the past to seasons.

Can people please stop acting like the Steelers would have cut Bell at any time within 3 years of signing the 5 year deal? He was getting that money. The Steelers almost always honor their star players contracts

Not only that, but they'd be in cap hell if they cut a 70 million dollar contract guy after one or two seasons. The first two years were guaranteed at like 33million. Bell ****** up, no other way to put it, but some will try to spin it like Bell made out.
