Dulac – Steelers Could End Deal Anytime

The message they have sent to players in the locker room is that they just do not value them. That's why you see players like the offensive linemen speaking out.

It's a difficult message to repeal and one that helps tear your team apart when the coach and quarterback engage in public critique. Bad, bad leadership all around.
 
It would be hilarious to dangle that $50mil contract in front of him and pull it back at the last minute, making him either sit out or play for whatever he gets now. The ultimate mind-****.

Doesn't really matter that his being here would be a distraction, next season is going to be a wreck either way.
 
At this point, I'd trade Ben to the Jags or Cards, trade the Raiders 3rd and 5th picks for picks in next years draft, let MT guide the team to a 3-13 season and then fire the whole coaching staff.

Hire a new HC who will then have shitload of picks, including a very high first rounder, to build his own team.

LOL, this had NOTHING to do with Tomlin, Ben, or any other "respect" bullshit that AB was spewing. This was only about the money.

Jerry Dulac said this morning, the Steelers will never do that because they would never be able to made a deal/trade with another team again. Would love for that to happen, but they took the best deal and want to move on. Can't say I don't fully agree. . .

We really don't know how "done" this deal was with the Raiders. Maybe the stelers just have permission to talk contact with AB and the draft picks were simply the last offer. The raid then leaked the deal to the media.

If that's the case then the stelers would have every right to keep shopping for a better deal.
