Steelers moving on from Berry

I wonder if Berry will be invited to camp to compete?? I'd think so but I also think we will easily find a new kicker that is better. I know change is hard but,...... this change will be beneficial as whether Berry is re-signed or new kid, either will be for less money on the "cap" hit.

Final ******* Lee

Ben needs to gather these little ******** around and let em know if we just score every time we get the ball we don't need an effin punter...BOOM, problem solved

I hope our new punter is tougher than our old kicker................................ I want him to be able to not just take out the paper towel dispenser but also mess up the mirror as well.

All I know is don't use a 4th round draft pick on a juiced up punter who is always hurt. That was one of the dumber draft picks as we had bigger needs and could have got a better punter with an undrafted free agent punter.

We missed on some solid OT's from taking juice punt.

Coach stay calm reading this, we don't want you to have an acute myocardial infarction..

No need to take a victory lap. I told everyone he sucked Why the Steelers paid him 1.9 million a year is beyond me! We could have had Matt Wile at 1/3 of the cost.

Oh well. I do like the new deals Colbert is making. He is embolden. And all he needs to do is hold Mr. Cool shades accountable!!!

Bring in some competition, and no, they don't need to draft one.

Would you rather sign a veteran for 2 million a year or Spend a 6th round pick on a player just as good who costs about 550k a year.

Cap management 101.

I do like the punter from Utah. IMO he’s worth a 6th round pick.

Now if I had my way we would have drafted A pro bowl punter last year. Ike Taylor can tell you all about it, so save me time okay Ike and just say Coach was right :)

I would rather go a K in 6. And kick bosmell to the curb.

Boswell didn't end well. I think he gets a training camp nod before being booted by some rook

You don’t just bring him into training camp, you put some BIG pressure on him. You ride his *** hard and you put up mental challenges. Like tell him, out of the blue, if you miss this 32 yarder, you’re gone. See how he reacts. Build up the competition and let him waller in the background. There are many mental challenges but you get the drift. Then step back and see what he does. Keep a running score board for entire TC and in public view.............. toughen him up........ feed him bacon

He would still get that with the drafted kicker, everyone for the most part hangs around until the final series of cuts.

You need a CAT scan. If your fantasy to glory is about a rookie punter making the pro bowl. Since you can’t get my name right, yours can be Dumb ***.

I wouldn’t have blown a 5th on a punter, pro-bowl or otherwise. If I had followed your logic, we wouldn’t have had Samuels, who was productive and possibly a future prime contributor to the offense.

I would still rather have a FA vested punter with a contract that is lessor than any other position and a contract that’s towards the end of the Top 51 rule. Since you think you are the cap expert. Who had more impact last year? Berry or your hero, Chickillo? They had the same contract.

So tell us Dumb ***, enthrall us with your acumen on the salary cap.

As we have 3 6th rd picks at the moment, maybe we can spend one on a punter. Who knows, but I would rather take a shot on another skill player that may pan out.

Then again the club could sign a vet punter and have the cap count lower than the actual minimum vet contract amount.

Ike Taylor, I have you dead to rights. The punter I would have drafted is a PRO BOWL player that the Steelers would have had for CHEAP for 5 years. Cheaper than a veteran free agent. Cap management 101. Learn it!

If you want a clock cleaning, we can evaluate cap costs on Dickson vs. Berry. I would have saved the Steelers over a million dollars in cap space and upgraded the team. Yep, you know it, and so do I.

If you want to go over cap costs on what it would cost to sign a veteran free agent punter vs a 5 round pick for 5 years, I'm down for that too.

There is no such thing as blowing a pick on a Pro Bowl level player at ANY position in round five.

Oh, now you say maybe we'll spend a 6th round pick on a punter? A bit late to the party, but I get it, you were busy with your electrical shock treatments. Okay, a little progress. Congrats! Berry is below par punter and was paid 1.9 million last year.

PS: If you want in on the Oliver will not be picked in the top ten of the draft in 2019, we can discuss terms :)

Dumb ***, you don’t even realize that the CBA allows teams to sign established veterans to one year contracts and the actual cap cost is lessor. A vet FA P on a minimum contract only charges $460k on the cap. So, Dumb ***, much did your rookie P cost his team?

Dumb ***, only you would quantify a 5th round punter, regardless if he was a pro bowler, for a player who has more productivity or importance.

So keep your pro-bowl P, I’ll take the player the Steelers took in the 5th.

Reading Comprehension. You need it badly Dumb ***. I said I would take a position player with the three picks in the 6th.

BTW, you are already on the hook with Coolie with his bet. You wouldn’t accept my terms even if we did. ***.
