Gilbert to Cards for 6th rd pick

hmmm....was hoping for something better. Maybe we can get another long-snapper with that pick sheesh

I liked him, but not his inability to play - be it from injury or PEDs. He only played 12 games in 2 seasons. I think if they had confidence in his ability to be available, this move wouldn't have been made, considering they just hooked up 2 other OL, which is placating to Ben. I don't think they have much faith in MG being able to make the game. He could play in all 16 for AZ, but the front brass in Pgh must not think it's worth the risk. Add RT to the draft picks.

Do you mean this draft? Because they already have a young Feiler, Okorafor & Hawkins. Feiler showed out well at RT and they seem to be real high on Chuks. Hawkins is the ? IMO.

I like him but as I said elsewhere, he's been out hurt a lot lately and on the tail end of his career.

What's your point? Let's draft an RT who will be even more raw and harder to develop? And losing Munchak is big, but as far as development goes, you don't really know how much of that responsibility was Shaun Sarrett. Maybe Munch focused the guys on their assignments & communication while Sarrett helped them w/ technique?

And Feiler has already developed quite nicely.

Yeah, we only kept his assistant who had been with him for years, soaking up everything he was teaching. I don't think it's going to be AS big a loss as everyone seems to think... But then again, everything is doom and gloom here

Good move to save some cap money, but a 6th seems low. Feiler looks solid. Nonetheless, he left us with class. So, thanks for being a pro Marcus. Now only if we could trade the other dude with about the same amount of noise.

I'm surprised anyone gave anything up given he was going to get cut and could've been signed to a cheaper deal.
