He wants to play QB. I'm sure his agent told him that it could cost him but i guess he'd rather be a late round or undrafted QB than a mid round Safety prospect.

He was recruited by most schools as a safety. He committed to Vanderbilt as a QB. They were one of the few big schools that wanted him at QB. James Franklin then got the Penn State job and McSorley followed him there. On a side note, Franklin then got Saquon Barkley to de-committ from Rutgers. Those were 2 unheralded recruits that paid off big.
It's pretty common for players to be asked to do drills of other positions. Short QBs that can run are usually asked to either do WR or DB drills.
yeah, I think I read that 41 players were asked to run drills for multiple positions...Oliver is running LB drills as well as his DL drills tomorrow

But my concern is his 3 cone drill of 7.38 which is pretty bad. He has straight line speed but he's stiff.
Steve Smith did not seem to be a fan. Thinks he's not fluid enough to run all the routes.
The last few years for the Steelers i was looking for a Hines Ward type. That's why i was real high on JuJu and Chris Godwin a few years ago, because they were big and physical.
But now with losing AB, the steelers need a speed guy. JuJu does not have great speed and neither does Washington. Now i'm looking for a guy with speed and quickness

Have you seen his clips yet? Very impressive, and he was tearing it up early this season until he got hurt. He did this in the SEC on a bad team with who at QB? Indeed.
Let him run TE routes, or WR deep fly, skinny posts, or posts, which do not require as much agility as some other routes.
With his size and speed, he's got a built-in cushion. Too fast for almost everyone, too tall for almost everyone, an octopus-like catch radius, and superior jumping ability. He'll eat a slot corner alive. You can build a game plan around him on the 3-4 things he has the world-class ability in.
I'm thinking if he checks out medically and doesn't have red flags on character or the score very low on the Wonderlic, he'll go inside the top 12.
This guy is screwing up AB's trade value, which means we might only get one of the Raiders later picks or the Titans pick in round one.

As been mentioned many times in another thread moron, Daniel Jeremiah stated in June 2018 that Oliver projects as another Aaron Donald and both had LB (ILB & OLB) ability.

Are you sure that is not a misprint? Sweat is a DE 6-5 260lbs. Is that even a possibility? THE CHEST only ran a 4.57. Man, that is freakshow material, I mean Sweat is freakshow material. But I guess Brown is freakshow material too.......................just in a very different way.

Some recent mocks had us getting him at 1.20. No chance with that time. He'll be top 10 or 15, at worst.

Devin Bush ran a 4.4 on his 1st attempt and the Steelers didn't even sit down with him. They damn well better not pass up on him if he is there at 1.20 unless, somehow, Wilson blows everything up at the combine. ILB is our No. 1 need and they better not pass or miss on the best ILB's two years in a row.
