The word is average...these picks are based on picks PRIOR to the combine and and confirmed draft picks w/o trades....

Maybe they do math differently in your world???

Where I went to college, seven A+'s, two A's and a B ( round seven ) = higher than a B+ If you went to college, would this be a B+ for you?

I do agree, the combine means a lot.

Still on my mock we got White, and we'll be lucky if he drops to 20 and Hanks who looked like a stud at the senior bowl and will go before round 4.

I picked an SEC FS who can cover, blitz, hit, and sack the QB, and most importantly create turnovers in round two. However if he runs a 4.6 I don't want him in round two!

In round three I picked a speed WR, and we need one along with a corner who can play.

I upgraded kicker and punter, saving the Steelers 5 million on the cap for several seasons, and I think stole DT Alexander in round 4. He can play NT in the NFL.

The Steelers real draft will not this this good.

You've lost faith in what we have in both Conner and Samuels??? I haven't - combined they can do what Bell did. Mr. Big Chest will be a hard replacement - but, JuJu isn't a punk and if we add to GOOD WR's in the mix we'll be just as dangerous.

Here are the guys I really like:

1. Riley Ridley - the kid runs routes plain and simple.
2. Mecole Hardman - another smooth route runner and he's got them stickie hands.
3. Hunter Renfrow - the new Edlemann...
 
I added the Raiders 1.24 for AB. I also assume (which I should know better) that we get Roby, Darby, Desir or Dennard if FA...thereby negating the need for drafting a CB high.

20. DK Metcalf (the big bodied X receiver Ben has always wanted)
24. Mack Wilson (a bit earlier than I wanted to take him, but will develop nicely under Butler)
52. Chauncey Gardner Johnson (the chess piece we hoped Davis would be)
83. Christian Miller OLB (developmental guy that has the upside to start down the line)
115. Rodney Anderson (injuries are the only reason he is on the board here)
162. Caleb Wilson (developmental TE)

Now, if we somehow get a Rd. 1 pick higher than our current pick, which I doubt, I can see going BPA that is a bonified game changer on D or even a skill position.

If it were me, though, I'd still be looking for the best NT in the game to stuff the middle of the field on all downs. That will open up everyone else to do their thing. But, apparently no one in the NFL plays that way anymore.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess we fill ILB or CB in FA.
If we don't, Colbert deserves a ton of blame going into next year.
 
I should also mention that if we don't go ILB in FA, I would look for us to trade up to get Devin White. It would probably need to be at #10.
With AB getting traded, giving up the 2nd might be palatable. Just something to look out for.

Whatever Mack knows or has been taught now will be more than Butler will add or contribute. He'll have to learn his way. I have less confidence in Butler to defensively scheme week by week than I do in him winning a game of tic tac toe

it was hard not to trade. seemed like every round all I had to do was drop a few places and pick up the trading teams next round also, but since we never trade, I didn't.
