We do not do Free Agency well AT ALL....it sux but we always do so little

They won't consider any of these guys, but if they could sign one, here's my top 5 wishlist:

1. Landon Collins - Would love to get a young, impact player at safety.
2. Earl Thomas - He's gonna want paid after how he left Seattle, but I also think he'll play with a chip on his shoulder. One of the best in the league.
3. C.J. Mosley - Improve the defense up the middle while hurting a rival.
4.Ezekiel Ansah - Coming off an injury and had a down year two years ago, could be surprisingly affordable.
5. Grady Jarrett - I am really coming around to the idea of having four guys up front who can get after the QB.

Ahmed Patterson.

UDFA signed by the Bills and moved to their groundskeeping crew.

He'd look good in Black & Gold & Green. Was never used properly in Buffalo... And it would make QUITE a splash in the free agency market if we managed to snatch HIM up!

Za’Darius Smith is on their radar. Balt will have to tag either him or franchise Mosley, who they definitely won’t let go.

Jarrett......hmmmm. Might be out of the price range...but he would be a good find.

1) CJ Mosley
2) Landon Collins
3) Kareem Hunt
4) Tyronn Matthieu

Of ALL the pending FAs, the one most likely to end up here is Hunt. He lines up with

A) us not spending much money on FAs
B) us taking chances on proven players with character concerns ( see Vick, Blount, the like ) recently

Brandon Graham for a short term to put some heat on Bud, and or sigh CJ Mosley to a 4 yr deal.

If I believe I can get Preston Smith, Zadarius Smith or Brandon Graham for moderately less than the >9mil Bud will be getting (and I do think that), then I rescind
the 5th year option. Ideally, you work out an extension with Bud for what he is worth 5mil per year. Of course, he wouldn't take that unless you front load it to
make it worth as much as the 9mil he would have gotten via the 5th year option. You could still get him that money and lower his cap hit a good bit though.

Guys, I like that won't break the bank.

Safety. Earl Thomas, if we can get him for cheap. I think he would be an instant upgrade and 3 year solution to a very weak free safety spot.

Outside linebacker Anthony Barr. He's a stud. Can blitz, run and cover, born to be in a 3-4 system. Barr would be an instant upgrade over Dupree.

We won't sign any of them. The front office never spends the money on top tier free agency unless they are busts.

Earl Thomas won’t be cheap. Another agenda push.

Anthony Barr I doubt could be had for the amount Bud takes. A reduced contract say 5 mil/yr four years. He’s had more sacks, PDs TFL, and QB pressures than Barr with one less year. Besides Barr is wanting to cash in on his first big FA contract.

If they can get Earl for a mid tier contract not expensive, not cheap...they should do it.

This is the year I don't want to see the Pirates approach to free agency. Spending the minimal. Bottom barrel. With Ben's extension to go with a increase of SC and Bell's extra coin we better see some fricken effort to expand the talent level. Because I don't want that to be a excuse at the end of the year. They have the money ******* spend it.

Anthony Barr wants 12 mil per.

It would be nice to have 3 new starters on D at CB, ILB and OLB. They could only hope for two of those in draft, so I think they sign 1 free agent D starter at any of the 3 positions.
Probably also pick-up a free agent DL back-up.

bell is going to be gone we don't need him, we suck at drafting DB's and with Butler back as the lb coach I have faith LB's will be developed just look at so many good starters and as well as mid-round picks that were so dependable when he was in charge of the LB's Foote Farrior Timmons woodley, porter worlids, Shazier,Watt. and udfa or late rnd picks that have contributed deebo all time sack leader 6th rnd pick chickello good ratating rusher fort good coverage LB.

We can't with all the cap room we have focus on tier 2 and tier 3 fa to fill glaring holes Coty is a 2.5 tier CB starting him with another year or retaining him at 3 mill+ why not spend 2 mill more a year and bring in a proven CB like a Darby, Williams Dennard sojeone who has hands that can catch jump routes or the defelected passes catch them.
I would talk to Burnett before releasing him if he wants to just play in coverage we can have Edmunds as the hybrid S/LB or if not release him and sign Collins a much better no-nonsense bs player, he is the guy that called out eli Apple for being a pansy.

of that list 3 years Graham 5 years Collins and low-risk high reward 1 year prove it deal Kwon Alexander and 1.5 mill others RB tj Yeldon DL pernell Mcphee

I am not interested in keeping Burnett. He gave us practically nothing with his whiny, injury prone, declining ***.

They can bring in a upgrade...

We can roll with Bud at OLB (assuming we can get his contract # down). We need a better ILB and a better CB.

I doubt any of us have faith in them getting a decent CB in the draft, so they have to spend money in FA for that. No sense in throwing big $ at an OLB when we are already leading (or #2) in sacks. Bud, IMO, was getting better at setting the edge.

There should be 2-3 good ILB choices at #20 and there might still be a good one at #52. I take what I feel is the best ILB at #20 and, in the 2nd take the best ILB there, too. If I can trade up a few spots to get that ILB, I do it.

Someone mentioned a couple of NT types that can be had at #20. one of those while trading up in #2 to get a better ILB than might be available at #52 might be good, too. but I'd prefer to take the two ILB.

If they upgrade Chickillo and Sens that would be a good starting point.

Earl Thomas, if we signed him, would ***** about playing here and be demanding a trade by October. He'd be the AB of the defense.
**** that guy

New teammates seldom go into full diva mode. I think Thomas would love to play with our pass rush. With his range, smarts and ball skills fans would be all smiles.

I dunno Sup he was quiet for the majority of his career IMO.

I think he would help a improving secondary quickly...
