President Trump has mocked the prospect of Booker launching a White House bid in 2020, evening telling West Virginia rally attendees in September that he “dreams” of the New Jersey Democrat running.

“How ’bout Cory Booker? Did you watch his performance?” the president said of Booker’s grandstanding during Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings. “He ran Newark, New Jersey, into the ground and now he wants to be president, right?”

Are there stats out there that show Booker ran Newark into the ground? I'm sure that will be a big piece of his vote for me speeches... about how he ran Newark, NJ into prosperity.

“There are a few things that we can do,” Rep. Omar said in an interview with “Through Her Eyes.” “One of them, is that we can increase the taxes that people are paying who are the extremely wealthy in our communities. So, 70 percent, 80 percent, we’ve had it as high as 90 percent. So, that’s a place we can start.”

This is true, but Trump ran on no record as well. People were tired of politicians so Trump won. Now a lot are tired of Trump so its just a matter of who can drum up the most support. I do not think it will be Harris or Booker though.

Trump has a record of accomplishments....more than Obama, AOC, and the rest of the socialist Dem tribe combined. Trumps approval rating among Republicans indicates that people are not tiring of him. I don't know where you get your facts.

Her platform includes proposal for free public college, universal health care, Medicare for all, a green new deal and $10 billion per year for slavery reparations to be paid over the course of a decade.

“I believe $100 billion given to a council to apply this money to economic projects and educational projects of renewal for that population is simply a debt to be paid,” Williamson said.

Although it’s Ocasio-Cortez who gets all the headlines, she arguably wouldn’t be in Congress in the first place without the group Chakrabarti founded: Justice Democrats, a new, central player in the ongoing war for the soul of the Democratic Party.

I think there are different levels of support. You have his base which will support him no matter what. You have people who tolerate him because the country is doing well. Then you have the people who hate him, but are republican and support him solely for that reason. Several people at my work voted for Trump (including me) and are on the fence about voting for him again. I am sure that my workplace is not an isolated area. So far I would certainly not vote for any of the dems running. A democrat would have to be very moderate for me to consider voting for them. If a republican challenged Trump then they would probably get my vote as long as most of the policies were similar. I like how you bring up polls / ratings when they are favorable, but then totally discredit them when they are negative.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren said Tuesday that she was sorry that she identified herself as a Native American for almost two decades, reflecting her ongoing struggle to quiet a controversy that continues to haunt her as she prepares to formally announce a presidential bid.

Her comments more fully explain the regret she expressed last week to the chief of the Cherokee Nation, the first time she’s said she was sorry for claiming American Indian heritage.

The private apology was earlier reported as focusing more narrowly on a DNA test she took to demonstrate her purported heritage, a move that prompted a ferocious backlash even from many allies.

Warren will be vying to lead a party that has become far more mindful of nonwhite voters and their objections to misuse of their culture.

Using an open records request during a general inquiry, the Washington Post obtained Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D-MA) registration card for the State Bar of Texas, providing a previously undisclosed example of Warren identifying as an “American Indian.”

“Warren filled out the card by hand in neat blue ink and signed it. Dated April 1986, it is the first document to surface showing Warren making the claim in her own handwriting. Her office didn’t dispute its authenticity.”
