Super Bowl LIII prediction and game thread

Give it a week and we will hear stories about the Pats being disrespected for next year already.

When the broadcasters etc. we're saying that I asked everyone in the room "Who DOESN'T expect the P*ts to win every year? Seriously.

Vegas should be honest and give 10000 to 1 odds for the P*ts NOT making the SB next year. They'd ******* clean up.

Once again, you see why when you play the Cheatriots, you have to be prepared to play the refs/NFL as well. The refs gave the Cheats every benefit of every doubt. One simple play to show this was on a punt in the 1st half. The Cheats player hit the ball and knocked it closer to the goal line. The ball went from around the 8 or 9 and went out at the 6. Where was the spot? The 6. Where should the s have been? The 8 or 9.p Not a huge difference but enough when you are playing deep in your own end.

Then on the drive in the 2nd half where the Rams could have taken the lead. Gurley is finally running the ball a few times. He runs for 12 yards or so and gets a 1st. Holding call on the Rams. What? Where? After the replay, even Romo was asking where the holding was. Then, on the same drive, Goff is running out of bounds on 3rd down and as he eases up and is taking a step out of bounds, he is leveled by a Cheat player. Nothing called. What?? That is a penalty pretty much every time and sure would have been if it were Marsha.

One more - earlier in the 1st half, NE had 2nd and 12 or so. The Rams sniffed them out and stuffed the next play that would have made it 3rd and 15+. Hold your breaks. Penalty on the Rams for unsportsmanlike conduct or something like that. What? Where? Romo and crew confused as well. Then they bring in the "official" that is in the booth for an explanation. He said, you have to let the receiver get control of the ball and make a football move or they are considered defenseless? What? You can't tackle a guy face to face (not helmet to helmet or anything, the tackle was very clean) immediately as he is catching the ball. You must let him catch it and start to run before you can tackle him. What? When did this happen? Romo and crew were as speechless as I was. I guess based on that explanation, the NFL has truly turned into flag football. Oh, and as the Cheats always do, they turned their good fortune into their first points of the game.

There was another bizarre explanation by the "official" in the booth but I can't remember what it was. You could tell he was told to support the officials on the field and say nothing negative about them or the officiating. The NFL truly sucks!
 
And, don't get me wrong by my last post. The Rams played their part in losing. Their coach, who is supposed to be an offensive guru sucked last week and this week. He got away with it in NO but not against the Cheats. Why the **** did a running/play action team avoid using arguably the No. 1 3 down RB in the league? He was 100% healthy. He should have had at least 10 carries and 2 catches in the 1st half and again in the 2nd half. Any time you hold the Cheats to 3 points well into the 4th quarter and 13 overall, you damn well better and should win that game.
 
I just jumped in this thread without looking through all the posts so delete me if it's been said enough...but I am glad Edelman got MVP.

He is a fur shur "badass" and I'd love to have him and a bunch more just like him in da burgh.

Slang or secondary meaning, you are right in your decipher but original usage was a noun and used in primary definition. This isn't a hooked on Phoenix moment as I could give a **** less and the Internet tough guy giving the original insult to me was described as intended by this word.

Agree completely. All that adds up over the course of a game. The *Pats know it too so they push the envelope. No other team could do what their DBs do and only get 4 DPI calls in an entire season. It's just like star pitchers getting pitches others would not. It is hard to overcome. Much easier to play when you know nothing borderline will ever be called against you, but you'll get all those calls. We were able to beat NE this year in part because for whatever reason (maybe the no catch call on James), the refs decided to actually call penalties on NE that particular Sunday.

How many times have we seen teams get flagged for twice their average when they play the *Pats?
