Mind you this is all speculation on my part, but I’m not really sure why Arians would have even made the comment about AB being “too much of a Diva” to take on in Tampa. But it would seem this would further handicap the Steelers ability to garner a exceptional return on AB in a trade. Why not just say he’s a great player....and we will see...instead? An active HC acknowledging he wouldn’t welcome the characteristics that AB brings off the field? Sort of removing a club in the bid process while at the same time questioning other clubs why would they want to deal with AB’s antics.

I'm sure the GMs know the risk they are taking and that they are going to get someone whose majority of focus is about themselves. It's nothing really new I guess, especially with WRs but just the first time it has really bit the team we rabidly follow

Maybe he's speaking the truth, after all, he worked with Brown for a while. Maybe he's bitter about the Steelers not renewing his contract in favor to Todd Freaken Haley. Perhaps a bit of both. What Arians is saying fits the narrative of former Steeler greats, and recent X steeler players.

Arians is a top coach. And he was the man calling the plays the last time the Steelers won the super bowl.

As for Brown's value, it's in the eye of the beholder for the teams who need an upgrade at receiver. Tampa has some good receivers, AB's not going there but he might go to the 49ers, Jets, Lions, Raiders or Bills.

The Jets have 99.3 million in caps space for 2019. In theory, they could offer their first-round pick for Brown, sign Me'von Bell in free agency.

I'll gladly take OLB Josh Allen at pick #3 overall.

IF they trade AB i just cannot see him being traded to any team in the AFC. I am sour on the Rooney's but i cannot believe they would do such a thing

Truth hurts.

Yeah, and I'm sure every GM already knows exactly what they're getting with AB on and off the field.

AFC is fine, with a few exclusions.

Our Division, O f course the PATS, I personally wouldn't trade him to the Chiefs & if Denver wanted him I would need huge value...

Other than that? I am looking for best value PERIOD. I would start a bidding war

Totally agree, and most GM/Coaches think they can change or keep him under control.

He worked with AB his first two years in the league, before he got paid. I don’t care about speaking the truth. It’s a business. Business decisions are made all the time. If I was a Cardinals fan, would I be bitter about BA retiring for health reasons and leaving the org in poor situation that has set them back 3-5 years, but then takes another HC job one year later? You see the Bidwell’s making a big deal? Nope. Because it’s a business. You don’t air your dirty laundry.

I was glad they got BA out of there. If he stayed Ben would be out of the league. BA’s offense was getting him killed. Yeah Haley had his issues, but he taught Ben how to be a better QB.

Only you would turn this again into a bash the HC post. Only Harrison and Bradshaw has formally called out Tomlin. Brad for a Fox podcast promotion, and Deebo because he couldn’t face reality. Rocky, is promoting his new book, so his Facebook comments were to garner hits. Name one other player, coach or employee who has.

Bruce Arians: Antonio Brown has been too much of a diva, needs to make better decisions

Bruce Arians coached Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown for two seasons when he was Pittsburgh’s offensive coordinator and got to see the player Brown was during the early stages of his career. However, the new head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers isn’t a fan of the way Brown is carrying himself as he has watched the situation between Brown and the Steelers deteriorate.

“There’s too much miscommunication, too much … diva,” Arians said on The Adam Schefter Podcast, via ESPN.com. “I’ve heard so many stories — I like Antonio — he plays as hard as anybody on Sunday, and he practices hard. He’s just gotta make better decisions off the field, be on time, do some of those little things.”

It’s a vast departure from the player Arians says he coached in Pittsburgh.

“He was the hardest working,” Arians said. “He and Emmanuel Sanders, boy they went after it because Mike Tomlin used to tell them, ‘Two dogs, one bone.’ And at that time, we had Mike Wallace, Hines Ward — I mean, we had a pretty good run for one of them to get on the field. By the end of the season, they were both winning for us to go to the Super Bowl.”

Thing is, and I've been a Tomlin guy, nobody's really coming out and defending the guy either. And it's like Groundhog Day year after year with these turds they lay and the seemingly lazy and arrogant attitudes and game plans. The guy needs to feel the heat already IMO.

If there have been players/coaches defending Tomlin, I just missed it and apologies in advance.

What Arians said seems more positive than negative. His work ethic would benefit quite a few rosters.

Yeah, so positive that he seemingly wouldn't want him on his roster. Are you contrarian on purpose or just a little slow?

Yeah Ike, I see where you're coming from with BA's comments but it only takes one GM out there to possibly get great value for AB. First off, we all on this board can abandon any thought that San Fran will relinquish their second overall pick for AB. That dog simply don't hunt.
More realistically I would expect a first round pick somewhere between 16 to 25 range which would be nice value for AB and possibly an additional pick say in round 3 which would imo be great return value. AB as we all know has put up tremendous numbers the last 5-6 years and doesn't appear to be slowing down and I think there will be GM's out there who will overlook his drama thinking they can improve on that with a fresh start for AB. Those on field numbers I think will overshadow any negative comments from say BA or Manny Sanders.

LOL

Twitter war!

AB has waived bye bye to reality.....he doesn’t know the OC sets the board of rated offensive players during the draft. Definitely heading from Diva to Delusional in short order.

This “interview” may give Rosenhaus the opportunity to say “next question”, but to AB instead of the media.

Ike, I think it's reverse psychology. Playing down the player to keep the cost lower and I bet dang well "the bruce" would take AB in a heartbeat if his team could afford it. Diva or not, Antonio is a great football wide receiver.

Salute the nation
