Would be a great pick up but Tomlin will never allow someone as Williams to take what Tomlin feels is headlines over himself.

True but you can't delegate everything.. he has to do something. I haven't figured out exactly what he does yet if he isn't involved in the offense, defense, special teams, locker room management, ETC.. exactly what does this man do? Challenges? Game day decisions? Is that it?

I see the Jets aren't stupid looking into Williams as DC in New York. Tomlin must be on vacation and did not get memo Williams was let go. Figures!!!!
One report is saying Butler might have an extended role as in coaching the OLbers too.
They really are pounding the pavement with trying to improve.
Every year they think they need minor tweaks, but that isn't the case.
They need to upgrade talent enough to offset ****** decision making.

I love listening to some on here who assume any new hire DC would come here knowing MT is going to continue to run the D. Any DC worth their salt will not want to deal with that ****.
Some of the best managers I have ever worked for put people in place to handle things, and did not directly meddle in things. If they had a problem with how things were going, they handled it with the department heads. Too many in management believe that you have to have a direct hand in the day to day operations, but that just causes confusion and resentment in the troops. MT has always struck me as the 2nd type, and you ALWAYS get that when they have ZERO EXPERIENCE COMING IN.

PS DUECE 2 is NOT telling CMVLT to keep his hands of as they finished at or near 6th overall defense. The new secondary ASSISTANT is going to be second guessing who he is supose to follow as boss and yet more indecisive bullshit behind closed doors or open Facebook Link...,,,,,,

Real stat would be 4th quarter giving up a lead percentile. If Tomlin was calling the D in those moments, maybe his phone should be disconnected.

Grergg William's personality is just like Todd Haley. He's an unlikable ball buster. If your players need discipline he might be the way to go, but I'm not sure a group of established veterans are going to buy in to a guy yelling and cussing at him every day. They might tell him to **** off instead.
the 2 DL is worthless it only worked when we had Smith and at times Casey because you had 2 DL combined at 665 and casey easily occupied the C and RG and smith was the best 3-43 DE. Behind those 2 DL you had gap effiecient tackles that knew when to go full speed or cut we did until we lost shazier as well that D had DB like troy and clark coming down hill that rarely missed tackles. All you see with the dl heyward tuitt as watt and Dupree loop around the edge if its a run the RB cuts away from cam the RT is pushing Dupree out of the play and then as we have seen Davis Mitchell whiffing on the RB series after series. we need to have our base as 4-2-5. on passing downs.
