The fans were right

I hear a lot of what needs to be done and it involves "SPLASH" plays. The STEELERS are a slow moving, draft oriented ownership. What we as fans see isn't exactly what ownership sees. Even though he should be gone instantly, I don't think AB is going anywhere. Gilbert may be the biggest name dropped buit that is unlikely as they will just finish out his contract. I hope I am wrong but more than likely I am right.

Fans bitched and complained last off season at the piss poor efforts to get better talent on the team. Meanwhile every blogger, sports writer and Tomlin said guys like Bostic and company were great signings and the Steelers build through the draft blah blah blah. Fans suggest move up in the draft, said media again “oh you can’t do that blah blah blah”. The Chargers got a safety by moving up and it changed their defense, maybe th Steelers should have tried and maybe said media shouldn’t dismiss fans opinions so easily as it seems once again the fans know more than said media.

I stated in the preseason, when you spend $1.5M on a MLB (Bostic) and $2.4M on a Safety (Burnett), you didn't sign saviours, you signed guys. I was hoping the youth would displace them as starters. Matakevich was doing well early, but fell off, then Fort came on, and they dumped Thomas (dumb). Fortunately, the youth bumped Burnett out of the lineup, because he was terrible the first 3/4 of the season. He did play well and was making plays the last month, but it didn't help the Steelers win games.

Definitely been times when fans rushed to judgement, but when the outcry is loud and long the fans are usually right. Jarvis Jones, Dupree, Haley all good examples. And when the Steelers fire Tomlin in 2 years it will be about 4 or 5 too late.

Yep I stand by it was one of the worst off-seasons in memory. Tombert definitely needs to be held accountable.

To the owners that probably means do better guys.

All we are left with is wait and see. And I hate these wait and see's they are never quick.

I feel like I am in the military all over again with the slow moving processes....

at 20, we're in a good spot to draft an impact player.

2018 - Rashaan Evans was drafted at 22 (Detroit took a C at 20)
2017 - Detroit took Jarrad Davis at 21; Miami took Charles Harris at 22; Oakland took Garreon Conley at 24; Cleveland took Jabrill Peppers at 25
2016 - Jets took Darron Lee at 20; Bungles took Coolie Jackson at 24

We could take Jachai Polite (DE/LB, Florida), Greedy Williams (CB, LSU), Trevon Diggs (CB, Alabama), Montez Sweat (DE/LB, Miss St), Amani Oruwariye (CB, Penn State) or even Dexter Lawrence (DT, Clemson) if he falls to 20. Looks like a talented draft this year, and we're picking a bit out of middle, so we should still get a good talent. Or, rather, there will be some talent there ... depends on if we select the talented guy or the guy who fits our defense (assuming we all want defense).

If, somehow/someway/divine intervention, AB returns, we'll take Defense in the first.
and hopefully in the 2nd and 3rd

haha@ coolie jackson.

I think Greedy is long gone by 20.You have the Georgia or Washington corners still available. I like to see their combine to see which what I am leaning.

Not sure I want Sweat or Oru in one.
