How the Steelers Need to Move Forward

And Conner only lasted 68 snaps the year before. By the end of the season, they knew they had a reliable rotation player in Samuels. Earlier in the season, when conner was running all over errybody, everyone here would have bitched about taking him out for a rookie.

Those 2 should be better next year.

I'm sure they will draft a RB too. Bell isn't coming back and I doubt Ridley will either, although he probably doesn't know it yet.

If there was no position of "need" available at that point, i wouldn't be opposed to it. When you are at your 3rd string RB, you have issues, so it doesn't matter, a lot, who it is, i dont think.

Earlier in the season/offseason, IIRC, people here were happy enough with Ridley being on the team. That one play doesn't define his value and the defensive player punched the ball out, it isn't like he just fumbled.

On that note, it does piss me off to see other teams D players punching at the ball where our players try to pull the ball out. Seems like punching would be more effective.

Seems like, even without other changes, anyone involved with the ST coaching needs to go and anyone involved in the LB coaching should be gone. I think Bud would be better if he had better coaching. Maybe, not, though. He did get better at keeping containment on his side, IMO, as the year went on.

I agree, but you still need a third. Because Conner hasn't proved he can make it through a season uninjured.

Ravens top back Gus Edwards was an undrafted free agent this year. Steelers likely go that route for their #3 or use a 6th or 7th round pick.

1 ) Fire Tomlin. Have Rooney call Cowher to see if he wants a 3 year deal. If he says no, pick between Munchak, Arians, Frazier, or[FONT=arial, sans-serif] McDaniels. Offer no man more than 4 year deal. Arians as the head coach is 56-92, for a 63% winning percentage. Not bad, he over achieved on a bad Colts and did wonders with the Cardinals. As a footnote, Bruce was calling the plays the last time we won the super bowl.

2 ) Broom Butler, Porter, and special teams coach Smith

3 ) Draft / use free agency to find better starters at ILB, FS, CB, and OLB. Secondary needs would be DT/NT, P, K, 3rd string RB, DT/NT and OL depth.

Three days now since the Steelers 2018 season came to a unceremonious end; has anyone been fired?

Nothing if anything will happen until the Holy Trinity, Rooney, Colbert, and Tomlin have their Year In Review meeting...

dobbs won't amount to squat, he can hit the road whenever:bored:

Hard to tell in live action he had what one bad and one good play?

Of course I still wouldn't be surprised if Rudolph won that number two in training camp. We might see another QB drafted, but I think that waits until Ben hangs em up.
