"Brown-out" Sunday had nothing to do with an injury

Man, Spike. You just can't get over Leveon Bell asking twice what he's worth and thrn not getting it..

Thats NOT what im talking about at all

We could of easily had him for the last month of the season, you know, the whole time Conner was out, if they just agreed not to tag him next year!!!!!!!!

Thats it, thats all they needed to do and we be in the playoffs, prob with a bye

But nooooooooooo

Steelers Way! Huuf huff

Stubborn arrogance, but hey lets just make Bell the scapegoat, no wait, AB the scapegoat! Yeah, thats the ticket!

The culture needs to change. If not we will only swe more of this **** he does yearly. And from other players probably also. He has money. Fines and suspensions wont stop him. He feels he is above the team. And he has been in the past. Tomlin created this mess. He let this "me" first culture take root and grow. He even was watering it and adding fertilizer along the way. A shame really. You now have players speaking about it. Change is needed. Tomlin's talk is cheap. It means nothing anymore.

A new coach could change that culture. That is what needs done.

You really think conventional disciplinary measures are going to affect him?

The guy flat out quit on his team and blew off both Tomlin and Rooney's attempts to contact him.

There's just no coming back from this, IMO.

Anyone who has followed the Steelers closely knew that Brown was a selfish player, but no one could have imagined it was this bad.

The guy does not care about the team at all. When one of your top players has that mindset, it's toxic to the point being detrimental toward team success.

I do.

I also think as usual the media is over-hyping the situation. That post gazette asshat hates him some Antonio.

You could tell it was almost personal for Clark. The guy does not like Brown at all.

He's probably far from the only teammate, past or present, who feels that way.

If that's the case, time to get rid of the divas in the locker room.
This team needs a culture change

Bell isn't a scape goat . He is a player that turned down a damned good offer. Nobody to blame but himself.

The team is at fault for misidentifying what tag to put on him and not bringing in someone better than Ridley with Conner's injury past.

Shut the **** up, clown. Go root for your ******* browns. Hank

You will enjoy the view staring up at the Browns nutsack for the next decade when Ben leaves

Might as well kick him out too, right? Surely couldnt be the coaches, i bet hes the next reason you be blaming for not making the playoffs

Bark seal bark!

I agree we need a new coach, but sometimes players are just toxic egos regardless how hard a coach is on him.
From a statistical standpoint it's stupid to give up on a top 5 wr in the league, but from a morale, possibly long term perspective; maybe it's time to move on.

Could also be Clark trying to get some attention flowing his way now that he reports.

We have yet to hear from Rooney or Ben on the situation. But all these posters are flailing their arms thinking the worst.

Can't be a certain reporter blowing up the situation oh no couldn't be that.

It could be Clark being bitter.

I still won't deny this team needs a serious culture change.
If that involves moving AB, then so be it.

Mikey T needs to be shown the door though.

Disagree. Unless you plan on shipping off Ben and blowing it all up.

On O we need all hands on deck. A strong argument can be made that they are a receiver short now as it is.

If the Rooneys are ok with Brown staying, which is the ultimate decide, I am up for it too.

BTW last year was far worse drama wise, and deep pockets ownership made none of the necessary changes.

Trust me a stat guy like Antonio wouldn't like a suspension. If you want to punish him that would be effective..

Ben isn't going anywhere. Gotta make the push with him now.
He feels the window is open.

All this team needs is to get rid of the ego(s) and an actual coach who knows how to manage the game.

Looks like AB was punished for not playing now, maybe because the season is over the media is over sensationalizing the reason. Still warrants a negative look at the trend of this team.

What's to be done to finally get over this drama?

No Bell, no AB, no Ben....exacty the way the yinzers want their Steelers!

you want nothing but good Catholic boys who bend over when the headmaster tells you

Now just draft a couple more FBs for those fake punts thats all the rage and u be good to go!

Until they let Tomlin go, nothing much.

But they can suspend him . And sit him and let him know the next suspension will be 4 then 6, etc.

If you think about it the team hasn't done this. Sitting him one game at the last second isn't the same.

You start out with a two game suspension, and as I said you make it clear what will follow.

Could you imagine the meltdown if the O started looking like the D?

popcorn would be flying out yinz *****.

So this is what the Steelers post season looks like nowadays......

th

What channel carries women's beach volleyball again ?

The only thing bad is that Ben might like how Tomlin lets him and the players do whatever they want(can you blame them?) so he’s going to want to keep Tomlin. He even said he wants to see as few changes as possible. I just don’t see a way Tomlin gets fired, cause I sure as hell don’t want Ben to quit early.

ok, ab gets mad and sits out. Why cover for him and say he has a knee. And he's going to test said knee. Why not just say, AB did not practice. We have no explanation for why he didn't practice. Why cover it up?

It has been said on many of the sports shows that it would be very hard to trade AB. with the way the Steelers structure there contracts, it would cost 21 million on the Salary Cap. and the team trading for him would only be on the hook for 15 million. I just don't see how you can do it. hell that would tie up most of the extra Cap space we were all looking for to upgrade the Defense.

They NEED to fire Tomlin, Joey Porter and Danny boy and all the ******* derp coaches, thats what THEY need to do.

Oh cant have that, so instead they invent a scapegoat to deflect it all away from them so instead they invent a story to rile up the yinzer mob with bullshit stories

Oh yeah
The vast majority have been saying that for weeks...months. What are you on about?

Not with the press, not with the whitewash coming from the front office, they are pushing this AB **** over ANY talk about Tomlin

The problems on this team are BIGGER THAN ANTONIO BROWN

and it all starts at the top

That's all I'm saying

I'm no cap expert, but if AB wants out, could we restructure his contract to make a trade more conducive?

AB would have to agree with that. BTW AB has restructured to help the team before. And we have no idea if AB wants out.

Purely speculation.

It will happen very very soon, just watch

Maybe if they had a coach who didn’t let the players run wild this wouldn’t happen, oh wait, breaking news, Tomlin has another scapegoat, he will never be held accountable

I don't read the Yinzer rags and could care less. Their opinions don't influence the majority of this board.
