LOL, we were down to our 3rd and 4th string running back. The offense averaged 28 points per game and that is what you want to ***** about? The days of pounding the rock are in the rear view mirror, especially when you have a defense that couldn't stop anybody year in and year out. What games exactly are you blaming on the offense?
Listen, I don't care what running back they were down to. Teams do not practice tackling in the NFL. You see it every week...poor tackling. No one is saying run the ball like the 1970s. But there was a sequence Sunday in which Conner had 2 nice runs netting a first down. Then its 3 straight passes and out. C'mon man. Run the ball in that at least once. Cleveland gets into Baltimore territory with over a minute and one TO. Baltimore is sending the house. You poke Chubb through there, we may be talking about the Steeler playoff game this week.
I understand the defense is lacking. No argument there. However, t just absolve the offense is ignorant. If hat is what they are doing in the buiding, it's no wonder they continue to disappoint. Football is a team sport last I checked. As per your question, the Steelers had 23 on the Chargers at half, and finished with 30. This "high powered" and "explosive" offense could only put up 7 after half, and not until late in the 4th. They only put up 17 against the Broncos, and one of those TDs was a fake FG. The Raiders? Hell, it shoudn't have mattered that Dobbs was in there as bad as that team is, but the offense bumbled around most of the first half. Again, a blind, Chinese peasant can tell the defense is lacking. Let's look at the whole thing.
