Ravens are in an unusual position with 3 UFA linebackers, Suggs, Mosely, Smith and 1 RFA Onwuasor.
They likely can't keep them all. I think ZaDarius Smith would be a significant upgrade on Dupree and has been limited
with Suggs still in the way. Just showing interest will force them to at least pay more than they want.

Also John Brown would be a solid #3 WR for the Steelers and Nick Boyle would be a solid back-up TE.

I always liked the idea of poaching because you get a twofer out of it, improve yourself, down grade a key opponent.

Ravens aren’t letting Mosley go anywhere, Suggs is over the hill. Steelers never make a splash in big FA players anyway.

As per usual, we will get scraps.

And if they do that scraps approach with extra money in their pocket. Colbert will need to be let go.

I think Colbert will spend as much as he's allowed. It could really be up to ownership.

I think they are allowed to spend up against the cap.

The owners need to press them for better decisions or make some changes.

There is no excuse for getting scraps this off season, there is a lot of money available. It better be used.

Getting Mosley, isn't getting scraps. It's getting a pro bowler at a position of need.

Exactly the kind of move that is really needed.

Steelers always spend close to cap limit, my guess is we re sign pouncey, ben, haden and a few others and 1 defensive starter in free agency.

Historically the STEELERS move pretty slow in the regards of FA. I hope they do WAY more this year as they have more cap than most years and a loaded team if not just for a couple pieces. Art II needs to step it up and spend but also needs to look at team performance both player and coaching.

Salute the nation

Man, it would be nice to see them make a Farrior type move. Not a huge splash, but that dude paid dividends.

IIRC Potsie’s signing wasn’t all hoopla and fireworks from the Nation either. During that second year, though all were acting like the cat with the canary in its mouth. Great FA signing by KC.

Exactly. The Steelers managed to hit on James Fairror as a free agent. Pay the money. The guys we have starting at ILB would be lucky to start on a hand full of teams.

If Baltimore cuts Flacco, they have to eat $16,000,000.00 in dead money. OUCH.

Free agency starts on March 13th at 4:00PM EST. I wish free agency started after the draft. Move the draft up and free agency back.

Steelers can move fast if there is a player they want. I've seen some mocks showing the Ravens taking an ILB in the first to replace Moseley.

I believe the defense needs 3 new starters: OLB, ILB & CB. Get 1 in free agency and the #1 & #2 picks in the draft.

Baltimore is not letting Mosley walk, they will offer him a solid contract, if he chooses to go elsewhere, it will be for someone that overpays for his services. Since when have the Steelers overpaid for a player. The Steelers have always offered fair contracts.
