This feels like insurance that he won’t miss a kick in the last game potentially costing us the playoffs. This probably means they really want him to stay next year. If he had something wrong all year and they are just now dealing with it then someone needs fired
 
wow, I really don't know what to think. If they do make it to the PO, we are going with a 5 for 9 FGs guy? Now, Boz is hurt? NOW?

I think they feel they wont make playoffs. He will keep his mouth shut for a week and he comes back next summer. I said they should do this a month ago. I just dont get wtf is happening around this team.
 
Very odd, the personnel decisions from beginning to end. Very questionable.

Exactly! Why the hell wasn’t he placed on IR weeks ago and then sign Forbath who has since been signed? You cannot make this **** up. If this was a Tomlin screw up.

LOL- seriously. They had Forbath in and he kicked good apparently, so they kept him like the Elf on a Shelf, only to get snatched up by Jax. If Boz was injured throughout the season, hence his poor performance, what in the Hell were they waiting for? They would screw up a one-car funeral.
 
Without knowing the nature of Boswell's injury, I don't get this. You stick with Boswell the entire season and he made all of his kicks last week and then you place him on the IR? There wasn't another kicker out there better than 5 for 9 kicking on the season?

Then the question becomes how many potential game deciding kicks were missed because he couldn't plant his injured foot properly? The kicks in the Raiders game stands out as the most obvious.

Baffling. What the hell has happened to this team?
 
This has been the most bizarre season that I can ever remember. If Art does not have serious discussions with Tomlin after the season then he plain doesn’t give s damn and I find that unlikely.

Stan said that Boswell was injured in the New Orleans game and couldn't go in practice yesterday.

No big conspiracy, or reason to rip Tomlin.

Stuff happens.
