Juju MVP

Look I think the world of the kid, but something is seriously wrong with this team when they themselves will not recognize Ben's accomplishments. That is utterly ridiculous. Dude will throw for 5000 yards and it wasn't him that fumbled the season away. Unbelievable.
Yep, franchise record in TDs too.

Anyone with any knowledge about football realizes that without Ben the Steelers would not be even close to a .500 team. He has been their MVP the past 10 years. I just don't think its that big of a deal that some make the team MVP out to be.

Ben is the team’s MVP every season. This award is pretty meaningless.

JuJu had a nice season but Ben should have been MVP. He’s only received it once in 2009.
Not sure the reason but as someone mentioned, maybe he takes himself out of the voting.

Juju didn't fumble the season away either, it was a group effort, not just one play tool

Well they were in full control of their own destiny. He fumbled. Now they are not. He was a massive reason why they won 8 games, but yes his fumble was the final nail. I love the way the kid plays too. But if Bettis fumbled in '05 and the Colts score a TD there and win. Who is the goat.
I truly hope that above poster is right and Ben doesn't care and wants someone else to win. If not its:
A. Ben is a total douche and everyone hates him.
B. They have a locker room divided across whatever line.

It is like the NBA MVP... They want to get cute and not give it to Jordan or Lebron every year in their eras so they give the MVP to other people. I understand.

Could be they were showing support for him or trying to pep him up so his confidence is not shot.

Well that is all fine and well, but Ben has won the award ONCE. Why even have the ****** award if that is the way it is gonna be. There have been years including this one where if a couple things went his way he would be league MVP and he cant even get the support of his teammates. Juju is really big at the social media thing. I really hope he steps up and sets the record straight. I mean like ****.

Something is not quite right. Ju ju is a very good player but not among the best. Ben should be the mvp

Love JuJu, love AB, etc. but the true MVP of this team for the last almost 15 years is Big Ben, hands down. This team goes nowhere without him and is a SB contender with him in the lineup. Period. The End!

To me the term MVP isn't the guy who had the best season for him, though I believe that could be part of the equation. It is still who is the player we cannot live without. Well we all saw what happened when Ben wasn't in the game. **** for brains left Dobbs in to long and was another nail in the coffin.

I honestly think that Ben tells everyone that he does not want to be recognized and asks them to pick someone else. There is no other way to explain it.

I seriously think you are on to something.

imagine the chargers not giving crybaby Rivers the mvp, just imagine the tantrum.

Ben probably doesn't get it because the same guy would get the award every year. It's how it's been and it doesn't seem to be a big deal for anyone. Based on how the votes go now for these types of awards, I wish it would be called the Most Outstanding Player award. This would open it it up all position groups rather than just quarterbacks. You figure a guy like DeCastro could win a team MOP award or Aaron Donald win it for the league.

Yes, with games against New England and New Orleans looming, keeping Ben on the bench was the true final nail in the coffin of the 2018 season. And Tomlin held the hammer.

Love JuJu, but Ben is hands-down the MVP of the team. It's truly incredible that he's only been named once in his career.

Not among the best? 4th in the league in yards, 4th in receptions, 5th in yards per game... Yup, not among the best at all [emoji849].

Should Ben have got the Mvp? Sure, but come on, don't be an idiot
