Way too early guys I want in round one

Who's the last Super Bowl champion to have a top talent at running back? I'd say Seattle with Lynch in 2014. Who was it before that, Rams with Faulk in 2000?

Top running backs that are paid franchise money are needed for teams that have mediocre passing Qb's. Its been proved you don't need a top back to win super bowls. In Seattle's case the irony is they didn't use their when they should have. Hand it of to Lynch, or take a risky throw over the middle? Hmmm...

We do draft OL well but still need more playmakers on offense, a true #1 RB will be just what we need.

For defense I'd go after CB Jalen Ramsey, hard, sell the farm, three #1 picks for him is fine with me.

Jaguars likely to consider trading Jalen Ramsey in offseason

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...ikely-consider-trading-jalen-ramsey-offseason

Ben only has a year left, this it it, the last gasp of any SB aspirations, go all out, spend every ******* nickle they have, **** the goddamned Madden GM penny pinchers

have to agree with you but with one 1st and a 2nd rounder, send them Chickillo to make it even.

bettis and parker in 2005?

parker top talent? he was an overachiver but no way top talent

Agreed but bettis was top talent obviously not the same in 2005 but still top talent

Bettis wasn't top talent in 2005. I love the guy but he was a backup running back on a retirement tour.

Yes. Guard in round one for this team your moron for suggesting that. Do you really mean that? If you miss spoke say it now.

I was right about Bell and his 4.0 yards per rush last season. We don’t need him. And we should have tried a sign and trade as I stated prior to the draft.

It’s not my job to know all the free agency rules. But tell me this are we better off letting Bell just walk ( as he surely will ) or do you think we could have traded him for something?

You seriously post the most asinine bullshit on this message board. I'd tell you to pull your head out of your *** but you love the smell of your own **** too much to do that. You ARE STILL trying to ******* trade Bell. Listen real closely you thick headed imbecile, Bell needed to agree to a contract to sign. He did not agree to anything and no deal got done. End of story there, except for the pinballs bouncing around between your ears.

BJ Finney should never start for us at LG, he's a straight sieve. Feiler has been getting help over at RT and with Gilbert missing 20+ games over the last 3 years and going into the last year of his contract where we can get cap savings of around $5M he's a viable candidate to get cut. They likely will not replace two OL in the same offseason but if they can draft OL with more confidence and then go grab some impact defensive starters with this cap savings we are instantly better. We have not had $30M+ of cap space going into an offseason in a very long time. I don't recall us having cap room to make a splash before. We should be drafting in the low 20s, a spot where impact, franchise Guards are always drafted. This is where we got David DeCastro if you need a reference.

We've failed to draft in our secondary continuously and this is with a coach who started as a secondary coach for Tampa and then was a defensive coordinator for Minnesota. We've only marginally done better at OLB missing with Worilds, Jarvis and Dupree. Watt and Woodley have been our only two solid starters at OLB.

At ILB the speed guys will be gone in the teen section of the draft. This team cherishes its draft picks and does not like to move too far up to reach for a player. They've done it from time to time but it is the exception and not the norm.

This is not a video game. You don't just go ahead and trade for guys (Ramsey) without giving up assets and taking on the salary implications. Ramsey is also going to be a free agent once his rookie contract expires. If he is the best DB in the game as you've stated elsewhere then he's going to want to be paid like it. Tell us in all your wisdom how that worked out for us with Bell? It didn't, and its a reach of epic proportions to even think we would trade for Ramsey and then hand him a $100M+ contract with a huge guarantee. Again, this isn't Madden football and we don't do business that way. But you keep cheerleading **** that will never happen with your glutton of threads.

Keep throwing **** at the wall and hoping it sticks. That's about all you're good for.

So says the poster who wants to spend a first round pick on a guard to replace Foster in 2019. ROLAMO at U! You should be DQ'd from ANY football conversation based on that alone, and you know my draft tin 2016 was better than the Steelers. Try doing what I do sometimes, saying who you would have taken the day of and after the draft. Pretty please.

The difference between Finney and Foster is very marginal. Soon Finney will be better as Foster is aging, and he's cheaper. Saying Finney should never start is asinine, as he has proven he can and isn't a weak link. He moves better than Foster. Do you watch the games?

Decastro was a one in a five-year type of talent, and we just happen to need OL help on a year when the defense wasn't as bad as it is now.

You're also wrong on Feiler, he has proven to be a decent starter. Dude is strong as bull and has held up just fine vs pass rushers.

I'm fine giving Ramsey who has a cap # lower than 10 million next year a 13-14 million dollar a year deal, the "Bell money ". Jax says they want to trade him, and we have room for him. Only you " think " we don't have cap room to sign him.

You're also wrong again by saying the " speed guys " will be gone at ILB in the teen section! WRONG. Look at where Leonard or Baker went in the draft. How is their speed? Dude, your jr varsity at best with your football content on this board. You're so off its laughable. Also we will be picking between 16-20, a Teen spot. Vader Essh went at pick #19 .I advise you not to post-football content when attempting to call me out. Or do it, I'm okay with having a field day on the ill-informed.

What you have right, a blind man can see. Tomlin sucks and the DB picks have been bad. Who said that first on Davis and Burns?

That would be

<<<<<

Give it time, you'll likely see Reid or Bates ( Reid was my call ) is better than Edmunds.

This piece of **** just doesn't get it. Stick to Madden you dumber than a box of rocks Barry Horowitz impostor

Let us know how that $13-14M per year for Ramsey and the cost to acquire him works out for you in your Madden console head. His current cap hit is because he's still on his rookie contract, not because he doesn't want to get paid. That wasn't Bell money either, that was franchise tag allocated money. Bell clearly didn't think it was good enough for him but its all of a sudden good enough for the best DB to take less than market value.

Tomlin sucks and the DB picks have been bad

Does this mean Tomlin IS responsible for all of the draft picks? I thought it was Colbert who was giving him the top of the line talent on offense.

It’s a two way street Ark. The picks have not been good and Tomlin has not developed them

Haden saves the unit. Hilton was a decent rookie free agent find. Two good Colbert moves.

Dude. The Steelers gave 28.6 million in cap space for 2019 and well over 90 million in cap space for 2020. Source over the cap. Read this twice and come back to say we don’t have room to sign Ramsey.

And that’s before cap savings cuts are made. I’d challenge you to a battle of wits but I can see your unarmed. Get some help. You’re getting crushed here and I’m not even trying.

Also when I say the bell money it’s what he turned down which includes a huge signing bonus. And you might want to view Ramsey’s cap number in 2019. It’s way less than 14.5 million a year.

They say they both have equal draft say.

supposedly.

They dont need a running back. Corner or Middle linebacker whichever the best player falls.

Sort of. I don't think they need one early. But Ridley needs replaced.

I expect this to be reasonably close to the truth, but, technically, the final say would be Colbert. I wouldn't expect him to pick someone Tomlin didn't have on his list, though.

I'm inching towards Heinz' theory that we just can't, for some reason, choose a good one of these (I'd say Shazier was a no-brainer and not, really, a choice) unless you want to mortgage the farm and trade up. Therefore, you have the money to sign a good FA that has proven NFL experience and draft to your strength.

My official Buckeye Homer draft pick: Parris Campbell!
1. We suck at drafting defense (generally)
2. Our 3rd WR was a problem all year.
3. Campbell is super fast, has great hands, and is a RAC beast.
4. We love reaching in the first round.

The only thing you crush on this site is new bullshit threads. Obviously you’re too clueless to figure out this isn’t a video game. Shut the **** up already with your horse ****.

Spike? What would a #1 RB look like to you? Conner already outperformed Bell in every category.

I like Campbell and agree he would be a good draft pick but in the First?? Dude, Campbell will be there in the 3rd, maybe even the 4th. He isn't a top 10 WR off the board unless things change somewhere. This draft is DEEP in very good defensive talent. That first round will be consumed with Alabama and Clemson D-Line and Linebackers.

You must have missed point #4, calling it a reach (though I'll be shocked if he's available in the 3rd).
I have no confidence in the current staff to make a good pick. One can always hope Rooney grows some some balls and Tomlin's and Butler's replacements have input.
The only pick I'd be comfortable with is if Munchak gets to handpick his next tackle or guard in the first.
