No more ******* excuses.

I know that Nix fell short on the fake punt....but I liked how hard he ran.

Makes me wonder why they don't use him more, as a runner, near the goal line.

Seeing BR back there in an empty set from the 3 always makes me nervous as hell.

I would say he has coached 2 of his beyyer games the last 2 weeks.

Honestly, how can you say that with a straight face? What exactly did he do well in this game?

Was it not challenging what looked like a pretty clear fumble?
Was it the asinine fake punt in your OWN TERRITORY on 4th and 5 with four minutes to go and UP BY FOUR?
Or was it the retarded play calling in the series leading up to that fake punt?
Or was it putting in an unused Ridley and running him on 3rd and 3?
Or was it wasting our timeouts and only having a minute and 20 seconds after the final Saints score, when you could've let them score and given the offense about 3 minutes with two timeouts? Yeah, we've never seen THAT stupidity before.....
Or was it continuing to put your slow *** MIDDLE LINEBACKER (Williams) covering their speedy WR consistently?

Seriously, if this is your idea of good coaching, I'd hate to see what you consider bad coaching.

I didn't think the fake punt was a horrible call. I like the call, but not on our own side of the field. That was the dumbest part of the whole thing, in my opinion.

For me the most disappointing season in my lifetime.
Only because never do I recall a season where we couldn't finish this many games.

I would sleep much better if we were clearly outmatched. This many games we shoulda woulda coulda a won is agonizing.

The 2018 Steelers season will be remembered as the year of "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory".

You know you just contradicted yourself big time! lol

The worst call all day was ever putting the brakes on the offense

5 WIDE *******

Our O was firing on all cylinders, just keep scoring TDs till they stop you. When we started trying to run out the clock the mentality shifted and we were no longer the predator but became the prey. We've seen this **** show week after week of 4th quarter leads disappearing as our D cant hold a lead. That means it is time to rely on the O more and let them stack us some wins. Week after week the same mentality shifts and the same result occurs. That is an issue that either comes down to coaching or a collective lack of focus by all players down the stretch of games (which would also seem to reflect on the coaching).

When we go turtle mode under Tomlin we lose, Cowher knew how to coach that style but Tomlin does not.

Tomlin also has a far better offense so he shouldn't even be attempting turtle mode, ever in today's NFL.

And then in turtle mode he allows an ice cold fumble prone back into the game to take the ball out of a future HOF QB when you're trying to survive vs the best team in the league in their house? WTF doesn't even begin to do this justice.

And IF you do go into turtle mode (which is always moronic) it means you MUST rely on your D so don't tell them F you I don't trust you after you've been shutting them down... I think we should fake a punt in our end of the field. I don't even personally mind the idea of the fake punt as it puts the ball in your QBs hands to go for the OT or the win, but the idea contradicts the turtle ball style he was trying yet again to no avail.

We played well enough to win (if Ridley never hits the field) but coached poorly enough to lose. Same **** show

This is exactly what I was thinking. Why stopped doing what was working so well? The Saints couldn't stop Ben in the 3rd quarter and we outscored them, but we couldn't score in the 4th quarter when Tomlin decided to go chew up the clock!

This is just another nail in his coffin, hopefully the last one. He needs to go now.
