Tomlin sucks but he did not lose this game for us

I ain't mad about any of it. I was mad when they lost to the Raiders. Got over it pretty quick. Last few years, I have slowly lost interest in the Steelers and the NFL as a whole. Just a lot less emotional investment. As a part of that, my expectations seem to be much lower. These things sting a lot less that way.

Horribly coached game. Stupid fake punt, putting a RB in that was cut from the pats*** because he fumbles, covering their best WR with a LB and still using 2 DL on the goal line. Seriously, I think this team could win more games if Tomlin were replaced by a hat stand.

Still 2 Dlinemen on goal line situations is idiotic.
Going to a run heavy personal and a RB who wasn't involved at all when you haven't been able to run all game on them unless it's from the spread.
3rd and 20 going zone and not blitzing.
Still trying to cover their best wr with an ILB.

I could argue tonight was a badly coached game.

But the bigger problem was blowing so many other winnable games that we were in a “must win” position on the road against the best team in the league. Blowing 4th quarter leads in games in which we were the better team is a ******* pastime for this group. **** Tomlin

I had this game down as a "No chance in hell" game because I knew Tomlin would ABSOLUTELY **** something critical up and they'd lose.

How about that soft zone defense after they attacked Brees and made them move backwards?

Good call "coach".

It wasn't JUST the fake punt that was stupid, that entire series leading up to the fake, when all we had to do was get first downs to ice it, was ******* RETARDED PLAYCALLING! This is 100% on Tomlin for this loss, and I'm ******* sick and tired of it.

Ben should march right into the Rooneys office and demand they fire that moron, either me or him, do it Ben, for all of us.

And i wouldnt blame u one bit if u decide to retire after another wasted season. These ******* dont deserve u

You don’t choose to fumble because the other team has something to do with it. True, a good coach would not have had Ridley in the game at all, but he did not elect to fumble. When you elect to run a very low percentage play on 4th and 5, you have chosen to **** up.

Last time I checked I’m pretty sure we didn’t just have one crucial fumble but two. I’m also pretty sure Tomlin didn’t fumble the ball.

Who put the player in that situation? A player who was released from his previous team for fumbling?

That was a forced fumble by the saints player punching the ball at the exact right time. Its not like he just dropped the ball.

I'm with you on emotional investment. This isn't fun anymore. I could roll.out a list a mile long of reasons why. Mostly because I don't believe in it anymore. It's been a 15 year slow cook.

-Tomlin sucks
-Butter hands Ridely sucks
- Nfl officiating sucks and has for quite some time

Nothing new to see.
In the end we got in our own way. I can argue that NO were gifted a TD or two, but when key moments mattered the Steelers beat themselves

Don't forget Butler he might be the biggest suck.

I am the same way. Its been since the Superbowl XLV loss for me. Its always something with this team. Honestly I think there is something with the way this guy prepares the team for games and the entire season for that matter that ultimately leads to their demise with these key mistakes and underachieving games. And it quite possibly isn't only Tomlin's way of doing things, it might very well trickle down from the top. Nagging reoccurring things like the replay issue should get fixed by someone above Tomlin when they become common place.

Only reason Ridley is in there is because we have nobody else. He’s literally our 4th string RB if you count Bell. He wasn’t released because he fumbled a lot anyways. He was released because of a bad knee injury. Nobody seemed to complain about his “fumbling” issues when we signed him last year and has ran well when he’s been called upon. Matter of fact I don’t remember anybody ever mentioning he had fumbling problems with any other team. But I guess if it helps you “prove” your case that Tomlin should be fired then let’s go for it.

So Nix is OK to try and get a fake punt two yards on 4th down but not to try and get critical yards any other time ? I'll take Nix over Ridley any day in short yardage.

The fact that he was even handed the ball in that situation is enough for me.....The guy wasn't used for how many games, then in the key situation that will make or break your season you give it to him?

Yea fire his ***.....
