Yep, pretty sure. Trump needs McConnell to change the rules in order to pass the bill with a simple majority, and to this point McConnell has refused. Without that, the bill will not pass. And FYI, they need 60 votes to pass this bill, this why Trump wants McConnell to change the rules. He even tweeted he wants McConnell to use the nuclear option. Without that, this bill is DOA as no democrat is going to vote for it. So all that is left to see is if Trump has the balls to shut it down.

McConnell to me is an underrated talent. He's well tuned in to his colleagues and how they will vote, and can jujutsu, cryin' Chuck Schemer by changing the rules to a majority vote on this issue.


There must be some significant negations going on right now on or capital hill.


Since the Dem's are so worried about a government, shut down, change the rules in the interest of national security to majority vote on the bill, and let the public see how serious the Democrats are. Wasn't Chuck for a wall when Obama was president?! Yes he was.


I think Tmup is playing this game very well. If he builds the wall, it will be a significant accomplishment for life. Don't look now but China is ready to make some concessions on trade. Whatever Trump gets for the USA should be viewed as triumphant, but we all know how mainstream media will cover it.

Well, the senate quit and went home for Christmas. Game over. Guess we’ll see how long this shutdown lasts. My guess is not long, as Democrats and the state run propaganda machine will kick into high gear and hang this squarely around Trumps neck. Next year is gonna be a blast.

The Trump administration has formally scrapped an Obama-era policy that was meant to curb racial discrimination in schools but that became tangled in a national debate over school safety.

Officials from the Education and Justice departments finalized the rollback Friday, just days after it was proposed by a federal panel on school safety. President Donald Trump formed the panel in March as the government’s response to the February school shooting in Parkland, Florida.

In revoking the rule, federal officials said they won’t intervene with schools’ disciplinary decisions as long as they don’t violate federal discrimination laws.

The 2014 policy urged schools not to suspend, expel or report students to police except as a last resort. Instead, it promoted “restorative” discipline measures that don’t remove students from the classroom.

And the schools descended into chaos. Kids aren't that stupid, if they know they won't be punished, there is no incentive to behave.
