In short, yes, absolutely. As hard as it is to believe it, the Saints are a beatable team, and yes, even when they are at home. To be completely frank, the biggest opponent of the Pittsburgh Steelers isn’t the Patriots, Jaguars, or Ravens. It is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Game after game this year (especially during […]

Can they yes. Do they play well on the road vs top QB's? No

The Saints OL is banged up, so there is a chance. Drew Brees is have a special season even by his standards and flanked by weapons.

Wrong. We play better against top QBs on the road than bad ones. It is what we do. We make the bad look good and aside from Brady(normally) we play up to our competition.

The Steelers have not beaten Brees on the in the Superdome ever. And when is the last time we beat Brady in New England. We played Mahones on the road. He light us up.

Mahones lights everyone up

The key here is protecting the football, minimizing the TOP by controlling the clock and putting pressure on Brees.

Kamara is going to be a focus as the check down receiver and we need to have Haden shadow Thomas likely with safety help.

I'm going to beat the drum like I did last weekend, we need to get our tight ends involved early and often to soften the middle of the field. This will open up passing lanes for AB and Juju. If they want to bracket our top two receivers then we make them pay with McDonald, James and welcome back Eli Rogers. Who ever is our running back will need to help chip off tackle (Feiler) and then release as our check down receiver.

This team put together a masterful defensive performance at home Sunday. Going on the road in hostile territory against a team with the best record in the league will be a tall task for us.

Right, Brees has but 4 interceptions for the entire season. To win here we can't be minus in turnovers and better not punt often.

Considering we have only played there twice since 1990 and Brees was only the QB for one of those games, it's not like we play them once a year down there.

I'd rest Conner until he's fully healed and start Samuels.

I hear yaz Coach but I'd give Conner a light load to acclimate him back in and you realize we are still playing for a PO spot. Samuels showed great promis but Conner is our work horse and he needs a little action.

So 8 years ago we lost to the Saints in New Orleans. That means squat for this season.

TOTALLY with this. It amazes me when someone brings in a past record and in reality it has nothing to do with current players / team / coach.

The Saints are going to be "The Ain'ts again once more as we march all over em in this shootout

Did you watch him Monday night? Nothing special about that performance. If the Steelers can get consistent pressure, Brees like the rest of the humans, will look human.

You may as well not even watch then.

Read post #3. I'd watch even if we were 0-16 with Tomlin having a for life contract to be the head coach.

I was joking around Coach. But I'm not so sure if this matchup is that slanted toward the Saints (besides the dome and their record there of course). Did the defensive coaching staff bring in anybody else this week for this one? Lol, it sure helped last week.

Maholmes and the Chiefs beat the sleepwalking Steelers earlier in the season by 5 points. Not what I would consider "lighting them up".

Hey guys new poster here from thesteelersfans message board. I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks, lots of good info here seems like. Just wanted to share this with you guys in the hopes that maybe it will get back to the team as bulletin board material. Can't believe the lack of respect from the reporter and Jordan. I hope the Steelers kick the living s*** out of these fools. Couldn't start my own thread so apologies to the OP, not trying to hijack.

Ben is "maybe" a hall of famer from the reporter? Then Jordan disrespects Ben by saying he's not even top 5 and would put Rivers above him????? What is this guy smoking?

The B.S. starts around the 1:50 mark

That final score was deceptive though. Believe me, I'm a big Steeler homer but that boy absolutely lit that defense up to the tune of 6 TDs while completing 82% of his passes.

Totally agree but it could be said that the Chiefs played the STEELERS at the right time. I think a second meeting will bring different results.
