Who are we targeting in round 1? I mean, it has to be a corner right? Picking in the teens/early 20s hoping we will have a lot better talent available to us than we usually have

BPA on D. O is set but the D sucks in so many areas. We need ILB, CB, OLB and a true NT.

They need a defensive playmaker. It doesn't matter if it's a LB or DB. No more solid players, they need a DB that produces turnovers or a LB that makes plays at the line, not 5 yards downfield.

The good news is the draft seems to have more talent on defense.

ILB,CB,S,

Yea, I hear it's thick with DL talent going in the top 10...

;)

I hear coach plans on taking some time away come the 25th of April, a pre-planned vaca.

Hit the beach.... feed the seagulls. Tell each one why he chose to feed them. And then he will pick his favorites based on some you-tube wildlife documentary clips. Those are some lucky seabirds I tellya.

LG to replace Ramon Foster

Sign someone on defense who can be a play maker for us at ILB and or DB. There's always someone who becomes a cap casualty or who can be traded for.

I'd draft a speedy ILBer and free agent a CB.

I'd give Foster a cap friendly two year deal if he would take it.

They better do something about Bud position, he runs out of the tv screen every play, and besides not getting to the qb, he never have tackles on the rb for losses.

Foster already said he wants to be PAID. He isn't getting that 3rd contract from us and he shouldn't. If we're drafting around 25ish we can get one of the best Guards in the draft without blinking and use that cap surplus to go sign a LB and corner.

PLAY MAKER.................... Ramsey from Jaggoffville..................trade a 1st and 4th or 3rd. Would improve the D instantly. I know we need ILB / S / but a proven FA at a position of need would be big

No thanks on trading a first. If he can be had for a 3rd or a 4th then maybe. That first round pick if we draft OG will be a sure fire starter for us on the line for years. If we cut Gilbert we will also have a hole at RT but I think we have the bodies there to fill the hole.

Why do posters continually beat this untrue drum? He was being sarcastic when he was talking about the money thang.

With how this team drafts corners? I would take that deal 9 times out of ten.

The secondary would immediately improve.

PS................... I think Foster's being paid comment was taken out of context as it was more of a mock on LeMEon Bell at the time.

Are you giving Ramon Foster a 3rd contract that takes him into his mid-30s or are you going to draft a young stud OL who will be on a rookie salary cap so you have flexibility to go out and sign key pieces right now?

I'm also cutting Gilbert after this season if I'm Colbert. Too injury prone.

I love Foster, but he's going to be 33 I think. Finney can do the job on the cheap.

Letting two OLmen go in the same year with deficiencies at CB/ILBer/FS/ and some would say OLBer.

Steelers don't have enough picks to handle the deficiencies without adding to it.

We draft OL in R1 better than any other position. Stick to what we're good at and go get ILB/DB as UFA with picks that can hopefully work out down the road. Foster is UFA. I'm not paying him a 3rd contract. Gilbert is going to be a cap casualty. Feiler isn't the answer but Chuks might be able to take that spot.

So you are all for rolling the O-line dice in Bens final hoo rah?

Quite the gambler you are.

Look at our draft record with DBs. Tell me you want us drafting a DB in R1 after the top athletes are off the board? You want an MLB at the end of R1, we're not looking at a speed guy. Those are going to be off the board when we pick too. Guards are perfect for where we are going to pick. You lock in a rookie for a 5 year deal and you've got $30M in cap space or more to go sign some free agents or make a trade. Its not how we do business usually but I trust the process we have with our drafting record, except when it comes to DBs.
