Because they CLEARLY were playing zone, and Burns didn't get the memo and stayed on his man. If it wasn't his fault, then why was he immediately benched after the play? Tomlin is lying (again) to try to save face for his ******* retarded decision to play Burns in the first place.
Please understand the game of football before commenting! Watch the replay, 3 people were in downfield coverage, everyone else is near the line of scrimmage because it was a 2 man route off play action, that is not zone, it's man. Joe was covering Hogan and blew it.

Nah, it was SUPPOSED to be a Cover 3 zone and that meant that both DB's were to play outside - watch Joe wave Artie back to his side of the field - it was too late by then...
As it was stated by most of us yesterday, it was a strange move to even start Burns but it was IMMEDIATELY rectified by benching him...

NO, it was not Zone in any way, shape, or form no one else dropped into their cover 3 zone responsibilities. Dulac has already pointed out that Haden (although Ryan Clark is stating it was Davis) that blew the coverage. One thing is absolutely for sure, it was not Burns!
