isn't that just in a practice? It's not like this is the final roster decision for the game.

They know what they have in Hilton and they want to see Sutton with the #1's a bit more to see if he has learned anything?
 
lol gawddamn, what a joke. making Hilton the scapegoat. I can only imagine the conversations the players must be having in the locker room about this coaching staff.

It might be the final roster decision for the game. That is still a unknown.

It is just irritating thinking they aren't fixing the areas that really need fixed.

I guess it seems like we are just jumping to conclusions as to what is going on.
 
Is Sutton potentially better against the run and they are planning to play more DBs on early downs? I’m wondering if they want to get another safety type body on the field that might allow run support (without sacrificing pass coverage)? This troubles me. Was Hilton particularly bad last week?

Hilton is their second best DB behind Haden and THAT's the guy they're looking to limit against New England. I expect Gronk and James White to have a field day against this defense.

Well up to this point they haven't changed ****. Brought in ****. Adjusted ****. So not a lot to make me think they are actually fixing those mentions.

Hilton has not looked good in recent weeks. Something is going on with him, but he's not the same player he was earlier in the year.

Yea, but they are moving the piles around a bit. As Bill Murray famously said "It just doesn't matter". Nothing they do or don't do will keep them from losing their next two games. Nothing.
 
WTF are they watching. In some games he is literally the only DB to make a play on a ball. Haha. You gotta be kidding me. Ok. I'm not there. I dont get to see the all 22 film, the practices or know the calls. But c'mon. Unbelievable.
Are we sure this is accurate though. I believe he was on the injury report.
 
I get a kick out of hearing people talk about beating the *’s and how it will right the ship and be smooth sailing to the Super Bowl. While Belichick will not lay down for this game, he won’t lose sleep over it if they lose. The *’s are a PLAYOFF TEAM, no mater what happens in the next few weeks, they will still be a force when the playoffs start, unlike the Steelers.
 
So we're taking our 2nd best cover guy off the field, Sutton didn't even get in on defense vs the Raiders I don't think, and Hilton is our best blitzing DB, pretty much our only DB that blitzes. It won't matter unless they go to a 3 man front and get those slow *** ILBs off the field.

Maybe that's because the coaches, in their infinite wisdom, took Hilton out of coverage on the slot receiver (where he had excelled), and replaced him with inside linebackers.

I read that he started the last time the Steelers played the cheats. So I wonder if someone thinks it just is a better matchup with Sutton over Hilton.

Provided it comes to be.

I think it should be

Hargrave,Heyward,Tuitt,Watt,Dupree,Edmunds,Coty,Haden,Sutton, Hilton, and Davis.

Anyone else for breathers. But this should be the personnel on the field starting.

These moves by Tomlin are boarder line treason.

Maybe other other teams media will ask their head coach if he was surprised we try to cover receivers with linebackers, at times play only two defensive lineman, and let the clock run when we should have called time out.
