Steelers 7-5-1 at home vs. New England 9-4

Odds New England is a 2.5 favorite.


A long time ago the Steelers actually defeated Bill Belichick in a playoff game, but that happened under Bill Cowher. Since then The Patriots are 5-2 against Tomlin teams. They own us. Given the Patriots shocking last play loss to the Miami Dolphins, and our tail spin plagued by bad coaching, defense and special teams play, this could get ugly. The pass rush is the only thing that can save this defense and the stupid assignment tasks the coaching staff gives them.

I’ll be on the road much of the week, so I’ll just cut to the chase and make a prediction. Four losses in a row.

Week five winner: Aussie Steeler, who predicted a 46-37 win

I seldom do it. There comes a point where objective reasoning trumps rooting interests. I've passed that point until the Steelers show me otherwise. Odds say it will be the 4th loss in a row and past history suggest a butchering when you consider how our defense is covering people.

David Carr was 25-34 ( 73.5 % ) for 322 yards and two touchdowns. History says Brady rips this team a new one.
 
I figured this one was a loss at the beginning of the season and nothing to date is changing my mind. I was going to pick the Steelers to win since I thought I might be the only one and finally win for the week but slashsteel ruined that plan. I have no idea which team will show up but NE will beat either one of them so I'll go NE 41, Steelers 27 in honor of our first NE playoff game with Big Ben.

I’m not going to do it this week. I’ve always made a prediction but I’m changing it around this time, no prediction. Just booked my flight to my hometown so I will be attending. They always win when I attend it seems so maybe my combo of no prediction and attendance does it.

I expected the Steelers to lose to the Raiders. I can't even comprehend them beating the cheaters. That's like asking Kip Dynamite to get into a cage-fighting ring with Dwayne Johnson.

cheats put up the first 150 point game, they have 91 points at the end of the first quarter and Belly cheat decides to take it easy on us the last three quarters and plays the cheerleaders.
we score all 40 points in the fourth as the cheats have already left for the airport.

Not that, we can win, but it will have to be a shootout. At this point, I don't see them with an answer to defending the spread/empty backfield set. This will not be lost on Bellicheat. The Steelers have to move into bump and run with more athletic players. It's time to get the youth in there. Marcus Allen, Thomas, Ola. i want speed on D, not slow run stopping LBs in trail positions in coverage.
 
As pissed as I am, and as much as I know what's going to happen I can't pick those cheating ********, ever.

I will be on a cruise to Jamaica while this is being played, and for the first time in over a decade I will miss a game. I'm thinking it's not going to be such a bad thing.
