Should the Steelers Make a Move for C.J. Anderson?

Whoever starts better be able to block, and pick up a blitz. We stopped giving a damn about the run when Conner was healthy. All that said, if a vet like Anderson is out there with all the money we saved on Bell the dumb ***** better at least give it a look. But you know they won't. Next man up BS.

this is not the time to be cheap or champion the Steeler Way. There a very capable back out there for the picking. Hell, he possibly could be your feature back next year. Never know. He is that good.

Not like Conner wasn't coming back from concussion protocol against Denver and he was not effective early on in the touches he did get. Same ineffectiveness in the Chargers game. We always seen to move away from the running game when it is not effective early. To a degree, with our defense we can't afford to keep pounding and give other teams the ball back. It is a nasty catch 22.
 
We give up on running the ball really early. It's like the guy who leaves a putt 5 feet short saying if he hit it, he had it. How does he know?

It was Chuck then he watched the last two games, and decided a change was in order..

Ridley hasn't shown well as of late. And with Jaysam getting snaps over him, I am not to confident he can tote the rock and be effective at it.

the Jaguars season is over and they have a star RB and 2 more that are pretty good to handle the load, offer them a pick or a Ma'afala in exchange for Hyde or the other guy

Ridley is better?? Bullshit. Ridley hasn't been worth a **** since his *** got knocked out in the AFCCG by Bernard Pollard 6 yrs ago
 
Yea, I can't agree Ridley is better than Anderson. I think they moved too slow on this and it's going to bite them if Conner is out past the OAK game.

We will not see Conner back and effective before the second round of the playoffs. Even if he dresses in 3 he will NOT be productive and probably just relapse to a degree. The fact that Tomlin would not deny it was a high ankle tells you it was and it almost always takes 6 weeks to rebound from one.

Why do we think a guy off the street would be better than back-ups that have been practicing with the team all year?
NFL playbooks are not the easiest things to learn. Would you prefer the rest of the offense be dumbed down, so we
can ease in a newcomer.
 
Running back is easy to pick up. The guy is low to the ground and would kill it. That said, if they use Samuels right we will be fine

Hell, I'm just bitchin like half the nation......:bolt:
