Republicans Nominate Hillary Clinton To Run Against Them In 2020

WASHINGTON, D.C.—At a special Republican convention convened over the weekend, the GOP named Hillary Clinton their official choice to run against Donald Trump in 2020.

It's not typical for a political party to nominate the opposing candidate, but in this case, Republicans claimed they "just couldn't pass up" the opportunity to ensure Clinton wins the DNC nomination. As such, the GOP voted in a landslide to nominate Hillary Clinton to run against Trump, with a rare unanimous vote from delegates to the convention.

"Please, Hillary. Please accept our nomination to run against Trump. We're begging you," RNC chair Ronna McDaniel said in a speech. "Oh man, that would be amazing." The crowd cheered, chanting, "Clinton! Clinton!" as party officials passed out "I'm With Her" swag to the gathered Republican representatives.

Meanwhile, Democrat leaders took a preliminary vote over whether or not Hillary should run in 2020, with the vast majority being opposed and Hillary Clinton being in favor.

Still, Clinton says she may accept the Republicans' nomination to be the Democrat nominee. "I think I'd do a pretty good job," she said. "And we can't know how well I would do against Donald Trump unless we try a second time, can we?"

Senate will confirm Trump judicial picks, working through Christmas, New Years Eve

Sen. Tom Cotton, Arkansas Republican, said Wednesday GOP senators will work through New Years Eve to confirm all of President Trump’s pending judicial nominees before the end of the year if Democrats try to obstruct the confirmation votes.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Kentucky Republican, has made it a priority to remake the federal bench with a conservative bent, and has more than 40 judicial nominees awaiting floor votes.

Before leaving Capitol Hill prior to the midterms, Republicans vowed to get them all confirmed once they returned during the lame duck session before the incoming Congress begins in January.

“I know that Senator McConnell has made a commitment that we’re not going to leave any judges behind over these next two months,” the Arkansas Republican told conservative host Hugh Hewitt on Wednesday.

Melania comes out swinging as first lady shows strength

Melania Trump has joined the ranks of weaponized First Lady, and it may be just what the country needs.

Amidst the perceived chaos occurring on a regular basis at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue due to leaks, the undermining of the president’s agenda, and general bad behavior, Melania Trump has emerged as an effective counter-force.

Other presidents have had them: Hillary Clinton was Bill’s fiery rear guard and Nancy Reagan was the ultimate protector of her husband, Ronald Reagan. Now, it is Donald Trump who benefits from his closest adviser, Melania.

On Tuesday, in an extraordinary move, she took a flamethrower to Deputy National Security Advisor Mira Ricardel, declaring in a statement, “It is the position of the Office of the First Lady that she no longer deserves the honor of serving in this White House.”

Ricardel was reported to have had run-ins with the First Lady’s staff as well as Defense Secretary Jim Mattis. According to the AP, Pentagon officials have indicated that Ricardel had been a significant contributor to the rumor mill at the White House.

We can fix the primary, by giving debate questions to the chosen candidate.
We can weaponize the IRS against the opposition.
We can get FISA warrants against the opposition based on false opposition research.
We can put private servers in bathrooms and hide from the Feds.


Yeah, we can get a lot lower.

The president knows Bondi well, she is a member of his Opioid and Drug Abuse Commission.

In an interview with Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday,” Trump went after McRaven, the retired Navy SEAL and Special Operations commander who oversaw the killing of Osama bin Laden and the capture of Saddam Hussein during his 37 years in the U.S. military. Trump derided McRaven as a “Hillary Clinton fan” and an “Obama backer” before suggesting that the four-star admiral, who recently left his post as chancellor of the University of Texas amid a battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, should have caught bin Laden faster.

“Wouldn’t it have been nice if we got Osama bin Laden a lot sooner than that, wouldn’t it have been nice?” the president said. “You know, living — think of this — living in Pakistan, beautifully in Pakistan, in what I guess they considered a nice mansion, I don’t know, I’ve seen nicer. But living in Pakistan right next to the military academy, everybody in Pakistan knew he was there.”

The comments escalated a war of words that began last year when McRaven called Trump’s description of the news media as the “enemy of the people” the greatest threat to American democracy he had ever seen.

This past summer, McRaven went to bat for John Brennan, defending the former CIA director as a man of integrity in an article in The Washington Post, after Trump revoked Brennan’s security clearance.

In a rare moment of political candor, McRaven wrote that Trump, instead of putting others above himself and setting an example as president, had “embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation.”
