Looks like we are protected by CBS but that could still get overruled by the league office, I guess?

SF was a very sexy pre season pick and now the networks are stuck with that pig. Boy SF and the Giants tonight. Imagine the draft implications.
I have a network question. Yesterday, Oakland vs. Chargers was a fox game and Seattle vs. Rams was the CBS game of the week with Nance and Aikman. I though NFC was Fox and AFC was CBS.

I hope not. This flexing bullshit screws around with fans that have made travel plans. Just stick to the original schedule NFL, and quit being dicks to the fans.

The "FANS" are their least of concerns as the TV contracts are solid, ask Robert Kraft how far those TV contracts will take you even in the face of the league premise..............

Salute the nation

They started doing that crap last year. It doesn't make sense to swap conference matchups to other networks.

That game has already been protected by CBS and cant be changed. Each network is allowed to protect one game per week. So was the Pats, and Saints game. So those will all stay the same. The only possibility from here on out would be the Raiders game moving back to 4:30.

Hmm. Didn't know that. I wouldn't mind hearing some of the announcers. The Steelers get Fouts a lot. I know what he is going to say about a close call before he says it.

That makes that game a tough one. Still thinking about flying up for the game. I would prefer it stay as is because it would **** up the flight schedule. We will see what they do with that one. We're gonna sell out that stadium for the Rayders

Correct. And there's a really strong chance the Raiders game will kick off at 4:05 or 4:20 EST.

Fouts is absolutely terrible. Doesn't know the rules. CBS just loves to collect old fossils who last had an interesting insight in the early 90s. I can't believe that actually hired Romo who is the best thing to happen to football coverage in years (and I never thought I say that when I heard he was hired).

CBS has more power in the scheduling department than the league office.

It's not really about who has power. The league and the networks agreed on a system for flexing games...CBS and FOX get to protect a select number of really good games while NBC gets to pick from the best of what's left so no one is stuck watching 49ers-Raiders on Sunday Night football (unfortunately nothing can be done about Thursday and Monday).

I agree. Wanted to hate him. Can't. Very knowledgeable and doesn't dumb it down. Really emphasizes the chest match well.

this didn't age well.....

Screw the NFL. Absolutely hate home primetime games and the Steelers have way too many of them.

NBC was owed a payback for last years week 17 non game i guess? That's speculation I read.

Will probably make for some cheap tickets for those who can’t do Sunday nighters.

There'll be plenty of good seats available. Usually around 1,500-2,000 fewer in attendance for night games at Heinz Field than 1:00 pm games. Given the cold weather, I would predict around 8,000 no shows
