I said it as soon as I heard Harbaugh say "We will have him on the field one way or another."

I knew it would hurt their offensive rhythm and production. Everytime Jackson came onto the field it just jacked everything up.

Rotating QBs never works, but Harbaugh (or the owner?) didn't learn from history.

You bring up Kordell Stewart? He came in as a WR or RB purely, he didn't play under center much so it didn't disrupt everything and timing.

From the day Balt. announced they would rotate Jackson in, I figured it helped our odds of winning at least one of those games. Now Balt is turning into a hot mess. Flacco
ain't great but forcing Jackson to be behind center (while Joe goes wide and just stands there like a lump on a log) sure didn't help their O. Thank you, Ravens. See you
next year, probably with a new coach.

I laughed at this pick. And for an even bigger laugh, check out what Flacco's cap number is in 2019, and how much dead money the Ravens have to eat if they cut him.

Flacco's CAP NUMBER IN 2019 $26,000,000.00 If they cut him they eat $16,000,000.00 in dead money which would likely be a record :eek1:

Joe's got those dirty birds by the tail feathers. Jackson isn't a QB either.

The way it's looking now, I bet they will go ahead and eat that $16 mill. They will figure at least it's $10 mill less than having him back.

And when they do, they will turn to Jackson as their every down QB...thank God. I see nothing special about him. Sure, he hasn't had many snaps but all his speed and quickness hasn't done anything yet.

You don't care about the Steelers increasing their chances of winning? Good for you. Now go play with that flabby moma Gord flapper.

Steelers control their chances of winning not the ratbirds,

BTW I am playing with the flabby moma gord flapper,

I opened your thread. Your crap is clogging up the joint.

So you don't think the opponent factors into the odds of winning or losing?

:wacko::wacko:

I'm not surprised.

Have they found the man who put the gun to your head to make you read my posts?

Just so you know, each thread is clearly marked by the poster who starts them.

What is the matter patriotPop can't take your own medicine? You know as you ******** your don't cares in threads?

Besides this isn't rat week , as was mentioned.

And I could care less about the odds of winning, again the Steelers control their fate.

Remember when they won it all as a 6th seed? Odds were against them there and it worked out just fine.

You play one game at a time and hope for the best.

Now if you are going to dish it be able to take it.

Are you confusing those foldy holds with my Terry Flap Folds?

But seriously, I don't see the Ravens dumping that much dead money. It doesn't make financial sense yet. Not until 2020 does it make sense to save $20M by eating $8M

I kinda felt that the Jackson draft pick was their jump the shark moment. I think they are on the road to irrelevance in the car pool lane. If they don't get out of their tailspin it will be Flacco gone Hairball gone and a complete rebuild without Ozzie Newsome. Could be hard times in Murder USA.

I literally LOL when they drafted Jackson. I've watched him at Louisville for years. He was erratic as hell when they played a decent defense. He's a poor man's Kordell Stewart. He'll never be a good QB in the NFL. He struggles to read defenses and his accuracy is limited.

Sask, Ozzie had this planned!!!! He’s retiring at the end of the year! This last draft was his swan song to the organization.

Maybe he wanted to shut the door on the way out. People might forget it was his mess. But overall Newsome has always fielded them a pretty good team. A rebuild could go either way without him guiding it. If they **** the bed, and the Bengals are the Bengals and the Browns are the Browns, life after Ben could work out pretty well.

Yea, a questionable 1st round grade on a read option QB, and 2 TEs? They're great at drafting...

Ozzie sucks, he hasn't had a solid draft since 2008, and only one non FB pro bowler since that date in Mosley (who is now a liability in coverage in the new pass happy/can't defend league).

Come on bro, Ozzie did better than "suck." Ogden, Lewis, 2 hall of famers, Boulware, Sharper, Starks, Mcallister, J lewis, Ed Reed, Suggs, Ngata, Yanda, etc. Far from sucking.

Frankly I don't get the ridicule. He's a football player and they made a play for him and they liked it. They only have so many plays in their playbook for that week and they've practiced the ones on the sheet. This was one of them. It's not like they keep trying bubble screens that work 20% of the time.

Well...that's 2:30 minutes I will never get back. :wacko::wacko:

All drafted before 2008.

Pay attention to what Cope said.

All before 2008 dude. Last decade he actually drafted worse talent than the Cleveland Browns. 1 star in the bunch. Mosley. That is it.

As mediocre as Flacco is, they can win games with him based on the defense and special teams around him. In 2016 they were 8-8 with Flacco. 2017, 9-7 with Flacco. If Jackson is the quarterback for the season...they could slip to a 5-11 type of team or worse. And they would have to stick with for while before pressing the re-set button.

My guess is Jackson is that raw, and the Ravens will have to stick with mediocre Joe for another season, perhaps yanking him and turning him into their goat once the playoffs are out of reach.
