WOW from 1-2-1 to 5-2-1 is one hell of a turnaround so far at the halfway mark this season. This was a good all around team effort in all three facets of the game by our Steelers. I've gotta give credit where credits due and that goes to Mike Tomlin and the coaching staff. Very happy with the effort from our Defense in the last four games especially this game on the road vs Baltimore. Nice to see our Steelers pretty much get out of Baltimore without any severe injuries which is a rarity as these games are always physical and take their toll on both teams. Bring on the Panthers Thursday night! Here's to an even better 2nd Half of the Season than the first half! Could this be two weeks in a row that the Steelers force a team to fire their head coach? John Harbaugh? The clock is ticking......

Game Balls:
James Conner - 107 yds rushing 7 rec for 56 yds from scrimmage vs the #1 NFL Defense......great job!
Ben Roethlisberger - 270 yds 2 TD's.....that's a good performance vs the NFL's #1 Defense
Joshua Dobbs - I know it's only one play but that pass completion to JuJu for 22 yds IMO turned the momentum of the game back in favor of our Steelers. That was BIGLY!
Juju Smith Schuster - 7 rec for 78yds including a 22 yd pass completion from Josh Dobbs coming off the bench cold was beautiful.
Steelers O-line - Great job early opening up holes for Conner to run through....one sack given up today but that was Ben at the end of the game just trying to wind clock
Sean Davis - 8 tackles leading all tacklers in the game today....he is quietly having a good year.
Coach Tomlin - Great team win in all three facets of the game today. He had this team focused today and they went out and did a pretty great job vs a very good Baltimore team.

Game Goats:
Chris Boswell - Make it 4 missed PAT's so far this season in only 8 games. Let's hope the 2nd half of his season is better than the first
Morgan Burnett - Costly Pass Interference penalty and two missed tackles in the game today

FU's:
**** THE RATBIRDS & THEIR FANS....CUZ WE ******* HATE EM!

Jessie James- clutch catch on that 51 yarder
Switzer- smart in the return game
Sensebaugh- played solid at the 2 slot. That PI was ticky tacky to me...overall a solid performance
Tuitt- just in beast mode

Conner is the mid season MVP pick.

The coaches were not all good in this game. The goofy punt by Ben fooled no one, and they kept in Bostic and Williams too often in passing downs, later replacing one of them by Fort who is better in coverage.

As for the FU's, add the refs. They were very one sided in this game.

Dobbs. . . holy moley! What a throw.
Defense did not break.
Conner makes you forget about #26 rather easily.
Ben, JuJu. AB, the OL, TEs, all gamers!

Great win in a tough place against a tough D.

Boz. . . smh.

As we see on an almost daily basis, no "Coach" is perfect.
It's a win in Baltimore. We held the Ravens' Offense to under 300 yards and less than 20 points. I'd say your quibbling about situational football decisions you disagree with is .... well, not without some small merit, but definitely nitpicking.
As for Ben's punt; it's been done before. And given the situation, it wasn't a bad call. Only one Raven defender reacted as if he knew what was happening; Weddle. The rest actually stayed in their defensive alignment as if they were fooled.

Edit: As for your observation about them going to Fort on passing downs ..... So what you're really saying is that they made an adjustment.

If you check the game day thread, I think the Red Zone offense is excellent this year. Fichtner > Haley by a wide margin.

Yes an adjustment was made late, but we all know Fort is better than Williams and Bostic in pass coverage, and with the Ravens being down you expect pass. Would it be too much for the coaching staff to get the easy stuff right during the game? That's my point SteelBuckeye. I think most here would would have made the right call sooner. I would have. I bet others here would do the same. See the game thread for live comments. Coyrea sees it too.

As for Ben's punt, that play works best when he's in shot gun with 5 wide with the players going deep. He takes a step back, and kicks it...this way the Ravens would have less of a chance to field it.

I'd give the coaching a B here, thanks to
Fichtner.

We beat them in Baltimore who were basically playing for their season and you want to ***** about a punt by Ben.

I don't have too much to complain about. Maybe Boz missing another xtra point, but we got the W, in BAL. the Ravens didn't get that close to threaten the lead. It was a really good game all around. Total team win!

Unibrow threw for a whopping 209 yards. That says enough right there. What they did .... worked. Might not have been what you would have liked to have seen. Might not have been what I would have liked to have seen. But, I'll take holding Flacco to 209 yards and the B-More Offense to under 20 pts any day. So, in this case, it appears that there's what you term the "right" call versus what they actually did; which, because it worked seems to have also been right.

A team can play well with some mediocre coaching. Just admit I was correct in this case.

You had it right the first time. A coaching adjustment was needed.

The Ravens are in a really tough spot now.. 5 losses already... the play at KC and at the Chargers and at Atlanta ... they have to win one of those to finish over 500...

Basically if Cinci beats them after their bye week then they are toast... 4 non playoff years in a row...

Screw them. Flacco is mediocre and Very expensive. None of their skill players are very good. I think they wasted their first round pick on Jackson.

What the hell are you smoking? I need to make sure it stays out of my neighborhood.
The stats don't back up your claim that there was some egregious error in game planning defensively. What the coaches did ....worked. But, you go ahead and pat yourself on the back for being some misunderstood genius who can't take a win ... actually something close to defensive domination ... without finding some minor point to nitpick.
Davis had a great game too.

I usually read through all the AFC north big message boards so i can get a feel for how we are viewed... in all honesty the Ravens 247 thread was mostly civil... its always the Bengals fans that are nearly impossible to digest.... the ****** up portion of that fanbase are just really demented and bad people... and that seems to be a lot of them

They’ll miss the playoffs again for the 4th year in a row and 5 out of last 6 years.

Did I hear one of the announcers say they are the oldest team in the league?

Suggs is about 60 y.o., so that average is up there. Weddle, Crabtree, Flacco, yea they don't have a lot of spring chickens.

They need to stop blitzing safeties and corners, they haven't sniffed a quarterback all year and it leaves one less defender in the secondary. Let the linemen and backers provide the pressure by whatever means necessary and leave the secondary in the secondary.

I have to give credit to where credit is do. I criticize Tomlin quite a bit but not today. He had his boys ready to play in all phases of the game. Good job Tomlin.
And it’s the best red zone offense I’ve seen in years. Hats off to Ben and Coach Fitchner.

Our resident Coach needs to lighten up a bit. Coach, we won today in a tough place and this team has now stacked four straight wins together.
