Steelers continue to put their ILbers in unfavorable match-ups. Often dropping them in coverage. I think we won't see that change, unfortunately.

Last year Vince was blitzing well which gave him a starting nod in some fans eyes. Others still wanted him replaced due not being able to cover a grandmother who drags around a walker to ambulate. Yes granny would still have a step on him in coverage, he is that bad.

He goes down to injury and we see Fort and Dirty Red replace him with a solid overall game. LJ showing that athleticism than Vince arguably lacks.

Some want to see a rotation taken place. Perhaps how they played Red/LJ in the Atlanta game. Williams on early run downs, and LJ on 3rd downs and some other packages.

But haven't we seen enough of what Vince, can't do?

Do you bench Williams going forward? (buy)

Or do you rotate him out on passing downs but still let him start? (sell)

Do we get one more audition game? Is Williams still injured or expected to play this comming week? If another audition game for Fort than it's a wait and see. If it a decision of buy or sell, I take FORT as a BUY. Let the kid develope more for a game or two because you still have Bince on the roster.

DIC I would think it would be another game or two audition with Vince having a hammy. But I don't know the degree of the injury.

Vincenzo has his issues - but he's a hellified blitzer...so I find a way to keep him in the rotation and on the field. LJ is growing on my BUT - if we want to get the Shazier-type of production - Terrelle Edmunds is my choice.

He needs to be in the box and in the fray going forward...

LJ just showed blitz capability. but yeah I think for a Shazier type effect long term perhaps Edmunds.

But the seem to want to stick with ILBers early. Which makes Vince a target on first and second down.

I say buy. Give Fort another chance to start. Sit Vince. Let him heal, then see who's better after a two game sample.

I actually think rookie Matt Thomas is best equipped for long term success at ILB.

So LJ is growing in your butt... disgusting

Part of me likes only having him blitz - but if we do that enough times, teams will pick up that he only plays when he’s blitzing. So I don’t know if a rotation is the way to go there.

Let’s see if the defense has yet another good game (against another quality offense) and I’d say if the defense plays better AGAIN with Fort in over Williams, just bench him. The contract is a sunk cost.

Forte and Thomas if they are smart enough

I think it will be by comittee. Bostic and William's on the early downs. They definitely have to find better second and third down personnel.

LJ is more versatile but Vince is strong against the run

do what lebeau used to overload 1 side when he used to send Woodley and Timmons together try Dupree and Williams from the back side.

I'm buying LJ Fort over Vince Williams at ILB until Matthew Thomas is ready. Once they unleash Matthew Thomas there will be no keeping him off the field. He's faster, stronger and quicker than Fort or Williams. He just needs to get comfortable with the Defensive scheme.

Fort just seems to play with a better effort than Williams does right now.

Williams should be out for a few more weeks. Those hamstring injuries suck for LBs.

Does anyone here really think Tomlin does the right thing? He will show his loyalty to Vincenzo and play him like before when he’s ready.

During Tomlin's tenure, it often takes an injury for a player to get promoted, and when he does you scratch you head wondering why he didn't play sooner.

We will see Coach. What I’m saying is don’t be surprised to see Vince back to his usual role when he’s ready. That’s what Cool Shades does.

Not start over Vince, but LJ has deserved more snaps for a while. I'd be glad to see him get in the rotation more. It seems like LB by committee is proving more effective.

I'd consider giving Fort some spot duty. Specialized players on defense seem to be a necessity and if he can find a role in certain situations ahead of Williams, I'm fine with that. I don't think he's a full-time starter after one solid game.
