Wow this place is quiet

Good battle plans. Bad battle plans. Do what works discard what is not. Coaching. Adapt, improvise and overcome.

Good battle plan today.
The players went all in and executed.

Awesome game today!

The reason for that is because Tomlin and the coaching must have been top notch today!

Isn't that the #1 thing most people complain about...the coaching?

Coaching was good today. We rushed more than 2 people and got Connor going early before we were losing 14-0.

I was watching 4 games back to back....Go Browns!

Most entertaining week yet

Steelers winning was a relief, luv them 40 points!

Call me old school but our guys are a bunch of showboaters. Connor..AB...to name a few.

It was decent win but the next three weeks will either make or break their season. All division games coming up.

When they play horrible it's coaching. When they play great it's 100% the players and nothing to do with coaching. Try and catch up.

Yes, the Steelers had a good defensive game plan today. Is it really that complicated, though? Is it really that hard for these highly paid professional coaches to understand that if they insist on running a zone defense, they have to utilize the blitz much more often to get pressure on the quarterback? Is it really that difficult to see that TJ Watt is a bigger asset when he's rushing the passer instead of struggling in coverage?

Ben played like **** in the first half, yet the Steelers still led at halftime. A better game plan had a lot to do with that. But when they do coach horribly, they deserve the criticism. Thankfully, for a change, that wasn't the case yesterday.

I'm happy as hell we won but...

With a win under our belts we've determined that our coaches are all a okay now? Even a blind squirrel gets a nut sometimes.

Some division games coming up, they will need to learn what is working and build off it.

I will definitely give Tomlin credit this week. For the first time in what seems like forever, I actually saw some second half adjustments. Most specifically, they stuck with the running game and started to provide consistent blitzing! I've been screaming for this for weeks. Well done! Now keep it up!

Guess a win is not as much fun to discuss

come on, they still had too many penalties and missed some tackles and gave up a few long passes....

Over all the defense was much better today and the offense with Conner rolling was fun to watch....mostly

They didn't beat a team with a winning record. Atlanta sux, so woo hoo we beat a lousy team. I'll be impressed when we beat a good team.......

(just giving talking points for the debbie downers)

It was mostly Hilton that did all the blitzing

I'm guessing they had Haden in man on Julio. If that is the case, they should be doing that every week. Line up and cover your man instead of all the bullshit zones and gaps and BS they try to do where they have communication issues on every other play.

I'm not sold. This is what this team does. They will flash some really solid football one week and then it all goes back to who know what.

I'm just not investing any emotional output into another Tomlin/Roethlisberger season. I know how this story ends.

It was a nice bounce back game. I was impressed with the defense holding that power offense to only 17pts.
Anyone else think LJ Fort should be the starter going forward? I like VW, seems like a good dude but he's slow and maybe not making the greatest calls while holding the green dot.
Keep stacking the wins boys!

I'm impressed we actually mad halftime adjustments THAT WORKED. I was happy we had the lead going into the second half, but leery of it. I thought for sure we would start doing stupid **** on both sides of the ball. Happy we won- even happier it was against the Falcons. Atlanta fans are some of the dumbest people on the planet.

If you made it though the late 80's and all of the 90's with this team, you KNOW what it's like to watch the game knowing the talent level you have on the field isn't getting you to the final game for all the marbles. If ya made it though that, and can't watch now, well, I feel bad for ya, because somewhere you lost your give a ****. I'll consider this season a bust the moment we're mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, till then, this team DOES have the talent to win it all. Do they have the coaching? I'm not so sure there, but sometimes talent is more important for reference see Switzer, Barry.

There were only a few plays this week that I screamed at the TV. Watching Cam run 8 yards next to a swing pass just watching the Falcon run without even attempting to make a tackle, and then waiving for a sub after the first down was easily obtained. The second was watching MT's boy Senabaugh watching the receiver wait on the lollipop from Ryan after scrambling away. After he watched the ball float through the air and never even broke on it, he then watched someone else make the tackle. I am hoping that Burnett's leadership being back will help the backend also. Dupree is a waste, if he is not running around waiving his arms to get to the QB he is offsides or hands to the face. Chickillo made a play every time he was in, and he sucks! Dupree is real bad! The return of Hilton was very welcoming. Oh, I forgot Ben's dumbfucking pass to end the half

I was pleased at what I witnessed but I’m not sold by any means. I don’t trust or have faith that Tomlin will or can lead this team to a SB. I don’t think it really gets better until he and his buddies are all gone.

LJ seemed to be making more plays all over the field, we still are exposed over the middle on pass plays, but they stopped the run pretty good, I'd like to see more of him

I think that is fair and that has been earned.

I know some fans hate this but the trends show themselves.

****** starts, followed by hard fought mid-season play. Sprinkled in with head-shaking games that make every bad team look good.

Followed by a not so attractive ending.

Just enough not to get a head coach fired. Just enough to have late round draft selections.

Just enough for some fans to claim their participation trophies.

Just enough to rinse and repeat.

I like to enjoy the victories, and I do.

But I do question if I am watching Groundhog Day everytime the Steelers play.

I'll throw something out there that I have for the past few weeks. Ben still is not in sync and on target for a lot of throws. Last year when Ben was struggling early in the season and said he might not have it any more, he started practicing every day and didn't take his usual "vet" day off. I think he absolutely needs to do that starting now and through the rest of the season. He still is not on the same page with his receivers and is still missing a lot of open guys.

I thought the coaching was excellent by the OC and DC yesterday, and Tomlin was perfect walking the sidelines, saying nothing when the camera was on him, except for the BS flag on Watt.

When it comes to officials, yes they suck, but to openly speak out against them to the media as Tomlin did hurts the team. These guys are human, and might hold grudges. So in that respect Tomlin didn't do the team any favors.

**** that, if a ref knows he's going to get blasted for a **** call, he might keep that hankey in his ******* pocket next time. This whole "keep your mouth shut while we **** you in the ***, or we might **** you harder next time" bullshit needs to stop.

While I know the Coach T backers will come out in full force to give throat to Tomlin's "Extraordinary job of righting the ship" this week... I think it bears mentioning that Tomlin likely had to read over the Steeler Nation board in great depth to realize, perhaps he should BLITZ this week.

It seems WE are doing a GREAT job coaching the team. Somebody out to make a "Gameplan for Coach T" thread and we can all just contribute those masterful bits of insight that clearly help him organize his thoughts and his coordinators. (And no, I'm not entirely being sarcastic. I'm half certain he DID go over the threads for coaching advice.)
