Why most sources said Edmunds was a 3rd-5th round talent before the draft

Go back and read the board from a week or two before Shazier got hurt. He was an oft injured ILB who missed tackles and struggled to cover TEs. Only after his injury has he become this Lambert/ Harrison hybrid great LBer. Shazier only played in 46 games and started 41. He never started more than 12 games and only had 7 sacks (With 0 of those his final 17 games). He may have turned into a very good player but he wasn't Football Jesus.

And as it turned out, his "oft-injured" label turned out to be very true, to the extent where he is so injured his career is probably over. And, no, it wasn't merely a "freak accident." His style of play and body make up made such a sad injury more likely. And as you noted, it's not as if he didn't have a fairly lengthy list of injuries before the big one.

Men will not follow fakeness for long.

You haven't been following this team very well the past 12 years then. Tomlin may have a lot of warts, and right or wrong, but the men absolutely follow him.

And Edmunds is now 5 games into his NFL career with a few very nice flashes and a few WTF moments, pretty much what you'd expect from a rookie.

Is that why they come out flat, uninspired, unfocused and lackadaisical for games as big as playoff games at home? Yea, they follow him all right....right into a toilet full of crap.

Just out of curiosity, do you believe spy gate happened? That NE has benefited from cheating since the early 2000?

They without a doubt follow the coaches. You always hear the players use the same language that Tomlin does and they always blame execution of the scheme rather than the scheme itself for failures on game day. The stars get leeway and they take advantage of it. I also think they have a pretty loose locker room that gets along well, even when the media makes it sound like there's a lot of adversity.

Edmunds has more upside than a guy like Justin Reid. Reid will likely be a solid player but Edmunds has a shot at being a star.

Safety is one of the tougher positions to play as a rookie. Edmunds is making mistakes but he's making plays too.

Yeah, they follow him with that arrogant 'we're the Steelers' mantra IMO. It can't be proven, so it's an opinion, but one better than yours. Dude, you're a mess. Other people acknowledge the players parrot what Tomlin says. Even the 2008 Super Bowl team were doing it, so this guy has a good line of bullshit he sells.

What do you sell?
