The Clock Has Struck Midnight For Big Ben

Watched his interview on the Steelers site and he is accepting total responsibility for the losses. Can't fault him for dodging that. Hopefully he starts to click soon.

BEN has owned that part of responsibility his entire career. He has never dodged or thrown under the bus, Payton Manning can't say that and neither can t*mmyb*y.

Salute the nation

For me it’s several things that stick out.
The lack of a running game has hurt the offense. The lack of a deep threat to allow AB not to be so tightly covered that he can’t get separation. The play calling especially on third downs when we need short yardage and Ben’s going for chunk yards. Ben’s timing with AB is not there. Fitchner and Ben relationship probably not the best idea for offense to be successful. Most importantly there doesn’t seem like there’s a real game plan ever in place. It seems like it’s a pickup game out there when this offense takes the field.

Lake of running game not because they can't run but because they didn't start the last 3 games running and they fell behind big early and had to mostly abandon the run. Has zero to do with Conners ability. In fact, in those games, Conner averages more per yard receiving than Bell did in previous years.

The funny thing is I thought this team would rally around Ben's quest for one more Super Bowl before he retires...sort of like they did for Bettis.

Not feeling that at all..

It's either these players dont give a rats *** about anything but themselves....or Ben's not the team leader and respected/well liked Steeler veteran that I thought he was...

I think Terrel Suggs respects Ben more than most of Ben's own teammates do..

It doesn't matter if they respect him or not. You are either all in to win a championship or not. The only guy left who has won a championship is Ben.

Unfortunately I think winning a championship is pretty low on the priority list for a lot of those guys. I believe their thinking is if it happens great, if not, I'm rich as hell so why should I give a @#$%

Not arguing the point of why no running game but the fact that there is a lack of one. As to the whys, yes, starting off down two and three scores puts the screws to your running game.
Conner’s ability is as a backup or in a RB of committee but not as your feature back. He’s not in the same zip code as LevBell as a player. As a man, James is first class in my book. I’d have him on my team any day of the week. He’s a team player and great character guy. Just don’t want him as my feature back.

Reports out of Philthydelphia the Eagles are interested in Bell. The Steelers should deal Me'Veon that includes Carson Wentz because after this dumpster fire of a season is over, I look to see #7's locker cleaned out, making the hotel reservations up in Canton and BB over at the tailor shop getting measured for his gold HOF jacket.

Overpaid underachievers never contribute to success.

They aren't trading for a QB with two young ones being groomed on the roster.

This dream about trading Bell this year is turning out to be just that a pipe dream. Nobody is beating down the door it seems........... maybe that changes when the hack signs. We'll see.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but that made me chuckle a little bit. When has a young QB ever been "groomed" in Pittsburgh? And...LOL... who on the staff is capable of "grooming" one now?

You mean Tee Martin, Dennis Dixon, Landry Jones...etc were never used properly. :whoo:

Yeah...Ben only leads the league in passing yards. What a ******* bum!

The defense and coaching has let BB down over and over again. It's a shame because it is wasting opportunities to win championships.
