0-1-1 LOL @ Steelers orginization, Karma is a *****

so, 2 for 1 yard each, one for 9 yards and 5 for six yards
i dont think anyone is saying Conner is the issue. but if we cannot have a semblance of running, then it makes the passing game more difficult. Ben was off early, even though he wanted to go deep. if the defense doesnt fully know if we're going to run or pass, it makes it easier for the offense. as evidence of this, look at our defense in every game.

Agreed, I thought playcalling creativity and balance was going to improve after Haley left and it did show flashes the first game but looked like the same old BS yesterday. Most of our splash plays were just Ben extending the play rather than through thoughtful playcalling. A stark contrast from how the Chiefs were calling plays on offense and confusing the hell out of our D.

Stats are for losers

Chiefs came out attacking our soft, weak slow defense, they still can't cover tight ends and now leave gaping holes all through the secondary with 0 pass rush.

No fixes in sight for piss poor drafting on defense, the jags took 5 years to get theirs fixed, I suspect our front office will take longer

He had 191 yards and a touchdown against them last season, and 170 yards against kc the year before. I don't think he's ever finished a game with 17 yards of rushing and 2.1 yd per carry.
You beat a team like KC by running the ball and keeping your defense off the field.

KC put up 14 and 16 points against us last year. Completely different team. No way we keep up with them by running more yesterday.

LOL
BELL, Brown, Ben, and JU JU, made up for all the garbage everywhere else. Pretty obvious at this point?
The O-line sucks, Bell just made them look good.

Conner 2.1 YPC

Why is everything funny to you? Everyone knows the suck that is being presented. It is the hand we are dealing with. I take it your one of these posters that think if they would have just listened to you everything would smell like roses. Always some tool that is Johnny on the spot with all the answers. SMH

Will anybody else pay Bell what he wants? I doubt it. We'll see.

Bell is GOD. That's how I'm going to refer to him from now on. He's the sole answer to all their problems. Give GOD $20M a year with a guarantee of $50M and be done with it. He's the Alpha and the Omega of the Steelers. While we're at it, put him behind center, let him play MILB and coach while we are discussing GOD.

Last night was painful. The middle of the field was WIDE OPEN all night long. The defense, at no point, gave anyone any hope that they could stop the Ravens. And that's sad. I mean literally, 3rd and 10 and there is NO HOPE that the Steelers were going to be able to stop it.

As for the offense, the offensive line is NOT all that. They can't run block for ****, although their pass protection is definitely better than their run blocking. But Ben is reverting to his "gunslinger" mentality and he's holding the ball too long waiting for something amazeballs to happen.

You'll note in the first half against the Ravens, when they finally got going, Ben checked down many many times. He was taking what they were giving and it eventually lead to more and bigger plays. In the 2nd half he started squeezing, getting tight and I think, sadly, the pressure just got to him. He knows if he doesn't score a minimum of 42 points every game, the odds of winning are ****. That makes him try much too hard. We all know what happens when Ben tries too hard. He forces throws that he just oughtn't make.

I have very little hope for this season. I suppose a semi-realistic goal would be to NOT finish below the Browns and at the bottom of the AFC North.

After re-watching that **** show, our receivers are not getting separation. I think a big part of the problem is that there is NO respect for our running game and they are dropping 5-6 guys into coverage. They doubled up Brown with safety help over the top. JuJu was being covered by a DB and often a LB taking away the inside slant and crossing patterns. I think Ben is holding the ball because no one was open. Our formations do not help as it is fairly easy to guess what is coming just based on the personnel and formation we are in. It is obvious to everyone but our coaching staff.

Forget Bell why do you continue to stroke the guy, spend some money on someone that can actually cover and tackle. Watching the Ravens play defense was a killer, they tackle and they tackle together and they cover Ben had no where to throw the ball way to many times because of coverage. We threw underneath passes and the Ravens were there to tackle, when the Ravens threw the same pass they would get ten or more yards. Spend some money on the defense. We have three running backs that can do the job if Tomlin would use them all.
