Is this the perfect season to suck and pick up Ben's replacement?

I honestly can't remember his name but from what I've heard the top college QB prospect is supposedly the most talented in years.

On top of that almost no one needs a QB especially team that look like they'll be picking in the top 10.

If we happen to continue down our current path we could easily be looking at a top 15 and maybe even top 10 pick and could pick up Ben's replacement and set ourselves up for the next 15yrs with a real talent at QB instead of trying to develop a Rudolph or Dobbs into something that resembles a talent (let's be honest, neither is starting caliber talent).

Maybe I'm just trying to polish a turd of a situation but this might be the perfect year to suck.

We currently have 2 young QB's on the roster that were picked to possibly be Ben's replacement. Even if we ended up with a top 15 pick, I can't see us going with yet another QB. I would go with a stud LB, DL, CB or even RB in Rd. 1 before I'd go QB.

The only coaches that will lose their heads after the season will be the scape goat coaches who obviously did not live up to their pedigree, with the standard being the standard these men obviously blinked when faced with adversity and had to have their eyelids cut off. With the removal of the scape goats we will unleash hell next year, or the year after if another purge is necessary.

Tomlin won't be going anywhere until he chooses to leave. This is very unfortunate but the truth.

As long as we go 7-9 or better I agree. If we get the 3 or 4 win season that it looks like we're destined for anything is on the table.

Tomlin isn't going anywhere and I'm still ok with that for now. However, on the defensive side of the ball, every coach from Butler on down needs to go. They are continually proving their ineptness. New D coordinator, position coaches and new system. The thing I'd want to see out of Tomlin is to go back to the grind em down training camps.

We already have two replacements on the roster. Look, no draft is going to fix this ****** up cast of Pittsburgh Shore. The Eagles won the Super Bowl because Chip Kelly set the foundation by gutting the cancer culture of players and coaches. Until the Roonies pull their collective heads from their ***** and gut the current cancer culture this is the type of ****** football fans can expect to watch for the foreseeable future.

I question anyones opinion at this point that is for keeping Tomlin. He has ****** up every aspect of this team.

Tomlin has surrounded himself with friends. Butler, Fitchner, Useless Porter.
Tomlin is ineffective as a coach. Poor clock management, untimely challenges, unprepared for opponents, undisciplined, can’t make adjustments.
These are on him not assistant coaches no matter who they are.
Tomlins best success came when he had strong assistants like BA and Lebeau who could not be intimidate by stupid ******* Tomlin. Now he rides roughshot over his assistants because they are his buddies and are intimidated.

That he has. The only time our offense has been productive is no huddle when Ben runs the show. Everything else is a dumpster fire on all fronts.

I don’t want to sound like a Tomlin defender. But, even if the team goes 1-14-1 it won’t be the end of Tomlin. Not just yet anyways. Butler, Fichtner and maybe Ben will go; but not Tomlin. He has yet to have a season below 8-8. That may be his only saving grace. Mr. Rooney May look at that and that might keep him on the hook for now. Now it may be a short leash, but he’ll be safe.

Right now he (Tomlin) needs to get in control of his team. In the locker room and on the field. Get rid of Porter, maybe fire Butler too. Make a couple of right now moves that may help.

I don't think the Steelers have much control over whether they suck right now or not...

The FANS with their noise last night may have done more to disrupt the Ravens than "rush 3" defense did.

The offense needs SO much discipline right now. Ben was doing alright in the 2nd quarter, taking what the Rats were giving him and it lead to bigger plays down the line, but as soon as he started squeezing and trying to do too much everything completely fell apart. At some point, somebody should tell the offensive line that it's hard to run the ball when you're met at the line by 3 defenders.
