Ben is different on the road.....

That was funny. A quick look back over last 3 seasons Charlie shows 16-8 road record with a strong road record 7-1 in 2017. Pretty good. I think the losses vs. perceived lesser opponents adds to the Road Ben criticism. Ben seems to have his worst games when he shouldn't.

Well he (Ben) has only one road tie this year and he played pretty dang good on his last road trip game. I'll take current BeN and some of these current game thread posters need a chill pill.

Salute the nation

It's been like that for along time with fans and Ben, when he puts up good numbers and we lose fans say we can't win when Ben throws alot. When we win and he doesn't have great numbers, it's why isn't he like Brady.

But the team is 12-1-1 last 14 road games

Captain obvious stuff. Teams tend to play better at home. On the road, there are often distractions, breaks for the routine, and pain in the neck airports. Do we all agree?

Let's face it our team is under focused, sometimes underprepared by the coaches. This problem is amplified in road games.

Some fans are quick to blame Ben, who's far and away our most important player on a loss. Okay, when was the last time the defense or special teams won a game when he was having an off day? Yep, I thought so.

Well, hoodie has his team prepared. When everyone excuses well, and the coaches make the right in game adjustments, its easier on the QB and the team to win.

I've seen too many game where one of our tackles is having a rough day and the coaches FAIL to help him out with a TE or Back, or to call say a screen play to the problem side to slow down the rush. Ben will always have a real bad throw once every few games or so when he goes sideline and doesn't see a DB waiting to break into the passing lane. He's got the go deep mentality, and you have to take the good with the bad.

But he also has 29 4th quarter comebacks which is amazing and will pass Elway and Marino soon in this department, meaning he's the primary reason we won.

They are 1 and 2.

This is simple... Ben is at his best when he is reading a defense, calling a play at the line and hitting one of his first two expected reads.... he gets a lot of credit for extending plays and all, but he still is best as a read and fire guy.... on the road the crowd affects on line play calls... often to the point where play calling at the line is very restricted and froight with miscommunication... it makes sense that a qb like ben does not have the same effectiveness in that situation

Captain obvious huh? Then why comment on road distractions, breaks in routine....pain in the neck airports(?). Charlie’s post states they are 12-1-1 in the last 14 road games. Doesn’t seem your viewpoint have had much impact then.

BTW, so you are aware, Steelers charter their own plane for road opponents. And two they are escorted to chartered buses for transportation o and from the airport.

More like Captain oblivious to you.

I kept thinking about that why them what was so different.

And then thought oh yeah cheat actually likes his ex coordinator. Perhaps he decided not to steal signals for that game.

:bump2:

Or his former D-coordinator understands about changing the play calling language when the cheats come to town...
