Just enjoy the W and move on

Def beats an L or a T .. but damn can't help but think we're still an embarrassment with all the penalties and terrible defense. I still don't feel a whole lot better about Tomlin than I did after we got smoked by KC. And I don't feel *any* different about Butler. And I feel worse about Danny Smith. We are a badly coached team, period.

But yes.. I'll take that W

Im as concerned that the O could only score 23 points as the D. Against most teams, that aint gonna cut it.

we didn't have ball much in second half, but we still needed to put games away

This thread headline is Tomlins coaching...fix nothing and hope other team makes more mistakes
Pathetic win....up by 20 in second half, do nothing, guess what, that doesn’t win championships

No I'm 100% with you but we can ***** and moan about it all we want....this Steelers team is going to be in shootout after shootout because the pass defense is literally awful, not to mention the special teams. I'm just saying enjoy the wins when you can....losing that game would have been a long day for me at work tomorrow lol.

The RT tackle had a hard time in for Gilbert. Caused a little extra pressure. And they took their foot off the petal but showed they could put it back on when needed.

O doesn't worry me at all. It is all secondary concerns for me.

The only thing this game showed me is that Ben should have been more involved in the preseason games. He seemed to be in a better rhythm with more of his receiving targets.

And still is trying to get back on page with AB.

Can you imagine what Tomlin's record would be with Kordell Stewart at QB?

*shudders* I don't think even Kordell himself could stomach the thought of THAT!

Our O had the ball for 3 series in the second half. The first one should have ended in 3 pts. Hard to score points when you never have the ball. This defense is horrifically bad.

Yep. Neither one knows what the other is doing so far this year.
Don;t know who's to blame.

Boring game mostly due to the penalties. Time to put Tutus on the QBs.
Sucks.

That is a good point. Whole right side was 2nd string

Standing out in front of the dumpster fire enjoying the win. Defense blitz blitz blitz 5-6 guys. All game every game. Because if that ball gets away you're screwed anyway.

So glad this team has BB.

I thought the Finney and Feiler held their own for the game as the back up RG and RT. Well Finney could start, he's not close to DeCastro. Gilbert when healthy is very good, but now we know we can survive with Feiler for a game or two if needed.

Tomlin had the perfect chance to send a message to this team in game...DHB on the punt in the 4th ..moves then compounds the issue yelling at the ref and drawing the 15 yard penalty....pull his *** out sit him on then bench and set an example...not Tomlin ...all part of why we get 35 penalties a game... no discipline ...just do whatever you want men

Four takeaways , including a pick 6, and they squeak out a 3 point victory. smh

They should just blitz every down because the secondary will get lit up anyway.

Most if all of the PF penalties weren't called last year. The players and coaches have no idea what the foul is other than I guess you can't touch the QB? One TB defender was heard apologizing to BB in the split second before contact and afterward. He got called but how does a 240+ lb linebacker or a 300 lb lineman stop in his tracks once he gets that body in motion?
The rule is unrealistic IMHO.
