This team has no leaders like Bettis, Miller (by action only), Faneca, Troy (by action only), Harrrison, Taylor, Farrior.

Sure Ben can rub Jerome's head after a SB, but there is no big boy leadership at the player level with this team. Joe Greene would have a ******* fit with this crew.

What a odd ***** after a tie. I wonder what you will do after their first loss, jump off a bridge?

No big rahrah players, but I would say Heyward is a decent leader. And on O BigBen hasn't had to rub any heads to have two SB wins and three SB appearances.

Sorry continue with your rant.

The problem is our culture created or tolerated by Tomlin.

Heyward, Ben, Foster, Pouncey, Haden, V. Williams seem to be our leaders. I'm good with it. No reason to be nostalgic, to bellyache about what 'great leaders' we had 10-20-30 years ago. What's the point? This team has to rally around the leaders it has and win games on the field.

It has been for years but the climate still reflects what's at the top and combine that with today's soceiety,....WhoALa you have today's team. This team could definately use a little more dicipline and structure but it is what it is. Tomlin isn't going to change and AB is maturing slightly so there is that. The biggest change will be when BELL is no longer here to contend with and that will have the biggest, imeadiately affect on team structure / attitude.

AB is maturing? He called Bouchette a clown and put on Twitter he was going to see how some journalist from ESPN'S jaw was.

Harrison was a leader? And here I thought he was a ***** *** quitter. Thanks for letting me know

There is a difference between leadership and rah-rah, shout, and scream antics. Some of the best leaders I know be it military, athletics, work force...etc in my opinion lead by example in a calm and methodical manner. Doesn't make them any less of a leader and that calmness often resonates in critical times. If you are the kind of person that needs a leader screaming, yelling, and/or barking constantly in order to be successful, that says more about you as a person than it does the style of the leader.

Professionals shouldn’t need leaders. I’m not motivated to do my job because a co-worker is leading me. If a workplace suffers from a lack of discipline and focus, it’s up to management to fix it.

if said coworker is screwing off on his phone all day.. And another one is lunch pail and getting it done. Who you going to turn to for advice.? Who would you rather have know that you did a good job or were screw off.?

Hey, Bud Dupree is a leader. Leading all edge rushers in QB pressures!

this is an absolute dogshit fallacy. it doesn't matter if we're talking professionals, or how much money people make. leadership is always needed.

Yes this is true but Leadership can come in many form and styles and no single one is correct for everybody or every situation.

Yes even professionals need leaders. It’s not necessarily about needing motivation to do your job. But attitude and approach always reflect leadership. All teams and groups need proper leadership.
