What you just witnessed...

I also think Bud Dupree played well most of this game, regardless of the fact he's also a favorite scapegoat on this board.

I agree. The problem with Bud is in 4 years, he still hasn't learned how to finish a play. He gets pressure and then runs right by the QB and misses the sack. If he can just learn how to finish the play with the sack, no one on here would be bitching about him. Then again...

Dupree is Jarvis Jones 2.0

Doublay iOle! Dupree

No way. Bud made more plays in this single game than Jarvis did pretty much his entire career. I'm not willing to shut the book on him yet. As long as he keeps this up, we should cut him some slack.

Definitely not as bad as Uncle Jarvis.

We've established Dupree isn't going to be a top playmaker on defense, but he can still be pretty good. They switched sides and already we saw some positive results. Unlike last year when he was invisible, we saw Dupree around the ball and making a few plays. Granted it was only the Browns and he'll have to prove himself against better competition, but still progress.

Was a ******* clinic on how you lose a football game to a ****** team. Somehow, some way, they managed to tie a ****** football team. They didn't deserve that result. They deserved to lose.

I read here all week how it was "just the Browns."

The Steelers looked a whole lot more like the Browns than the Browns did. ]

That **** was sorry. They played give up football from about 19 minutes to go. They were lucky to tie a team that had lost 31 of 32 previous games.

Since WHEN do TIES equate to LOSSES??? C'mon, man...

I give him some slack. He had some backfield disruption yesterday. Still tends to over pursue though --- like Jarvis
I seemed to notice him more after he was the victim of a crackback block.

When it's the Browns. I see more than enough posts of people complaining the Pats have an easy schedule every year getting to play in the AFC East. Well, we get the Browns twice a year and have Flacco and Dalton QBing the other teams. Not as easy as the AFCE, but not exactly the most dominant division in football either. You HAVE to beat the dredges of the league if you want to compete for a top seed.

First off...Great game Connor, if the "All-Pro" QB didn't play bush league like he does in these games, you would have been on the bench...no fumble. Thanks to Ben for that!
Second: Tomlin is a loser...this was another "Tomlin Classic" over 100 yards in penalties, horrible second half play calling, no balls to pull the starter that is hurting the TEAM! that's right, its a TEAM sport. Dobbs would have interjected a whole new feel to the game.
Instead Tomlin and Ben go on with their loser game plan. Defense actually looked good, but then again it was the Browns!

Totally a Browns win, Steelers loss....early prediction: Ravens take the AFC North easy. Solid football, no drama, everyone playing 60 minutes

Please...all you Tomlin loves, defend him AGAIN after another loss to a team that hasn't won in two years!

First of all, asshat, it was a TIE.

Lastly, the refs made the game closer that it should have been. Period the end...

I respectfully disagree. The Browns, honestly, are a BETTER team than most want to give credit. Their D has been solid and with all the talent they've picked up - they're going to win games this year. The additions to their offense is just cream in your coffee...

I make no excuses - I can't because I don't work for the Steelers. But, I do still stand by the tie doesn't equate to a loss statement - even if it was the Browns...

Right now. Always. Right now we are tied for last place in the division. At the end of the season it will cost us ceding in the playoffs and possibly a spot in the playoffs.

Noted - but when we WIN the rest of the games on our schedule - this will be an afterthought...

***Where you watching the game next week? I went to O'Briens on Sunday...

That is some strong kool aid yinz drinking. I like the thought of it, but wow.

Dude. That's your answer? It was a tie? Never thought I would see Steelers fans defending a tie. Against Cleveland. Super Bowl all the way. C'mon man indeed.

I agree, the Browns are better than given credit for. That said, when you are up 21-7 in the 4th quarter, LATE in the 4th quarter, and you give that away there is something wrong. And the Steelers gave that away. They put on a how to lose clinic. No, they didn't lose, but good gravy, they didn't win either. They did everything a team does to lose. Run, run, run, punt. Over and over. Turn the ball over repeatedly. They lucked out to tie. It is what it is.

The defense is. Their offense was terrible. Tyrod Taylor could barely complete a pass and missed on nine or 10 straight at one point. Pour the points on and beat a team like that into submission. Embarrassing we went into turtle mode midway through the third quarter. Too hard for them to flip the switch and get out of it.

I will never understand the reasoning for not moving closer for a better shot at the field goal. 10 more yards and that kick is good. You have first down, they were killing the Brownies on the quick outs to AB. 1 of those and we are not even discussing a tie. On a dry field, you can probably get away with a 42 yarder. Yesterday in that crap, try to get closer. I also heard that the snap wasn't good, if it was 3rd down, and i am not sure if it was, Berry(no punting *****) could have just fallen on the ball. they could have tried a 45 yarder or went for the first down.

Looking at the different reactions by the teams and fans to this tie tells you everything about the two organizations. The Steelers (and fans) are treating it as a loss. I know it's not, and I'm glad they somehow pulled out a tie after trying everything to give it away. The Browns and their fans are acting like they just won the Super Bowl. It's quite pathetic actually.

This thread reminds me of the one after the Philly loss last year......
