Well this one had the smell of **** before kickoff and I certainly wasn't wrong! Nice to see our team completely implode to an inferior opponent! Before ya blame the weather just remember Cleveland had to play in it too. We watched and arrogant overrated Coach with his all-star Offense go up by 2 TD's with less than 8 minutes to play with a young fast aggressive Defense unable to stop the elite Tyrod Taylor & The Clowns from scoring 2 TD's in 16 seconds! UNREAL! I really hope this TIE doesn't prevent the Steelers from winning the division or securing a playoff spot but I think it will. Steelers will go 9-6-1 and not make the playoffs. That is my prediction for this season. It might say Tie in the standings but this game is a LOSS for the Steelers! I thought for the most part our Defense looked better than last season....but this offense without LeVeon Bell is not the same and Ben really played like complete ******* garbage!


Game Balls:
TJ Watt - 11 tackles, 4 sacks & a blocked FG

Game Goats:
Ben Roethlisberger - 5 Turnovers....3 INT's, 2 Fumbles.....maybe he doesn't have it anymore! WORST GAME OF HIS CAREER IMO!
James Conner - yup he had 192 all purpose yards but that costly fumble earns him a Game Goat!
Chris Boswell - You blew chunks when it mattered most!
Mike Tomlin - Clueless is the best word I can use to describe this guy. He never throttles an opponent no matter who it is! This guy is just not a very good coach!
Artie Burns - You are one dumb mother ******! Guy has a two cent brain and average at best athletic talent! Looked like Delton Hall out there!
Bud Dupree - This guy is a complete ******* joke for an NFL LB'er. I'm ready to see Matthew Thomas replace him.

FU's:
FU to the ****** officiating......terrible calls all around....not reversing that punt that clearly hit a Clowns player was ******* DISGRACEFUL! **** YOU!
FU to the Clowns....your still THE CLOWNS **** YOU!
FU to Todd Haley....GO **** A STRIPPER & GET AIDS!

I originally predicted 10 -6 for this team. But you are right, now it will be 9-6-1 and no playoffs.

Tomlin should be on the hot seat.
 
Yeah, Conner fumbled, but good gravy, they just kept running him over and over and over. He had nearly 200 yards of offense, 2 TD's, and one mistake in his first start doesn't make him a GOAT. As stated above, without his game today, the Steelers likely lose. In embarrassing fashion. I mean, this was embarrassing enough, but you get my point.
 
Thomas is more of a ILBer than OLBer.

I still want weather to get it's fair shake in this game too, despite everything pointed out in multiple threads.

The two reasons I think we lost: Mike Tomlin is a contradiction in process. Should have gone for FG instead of punt in Browns territory that would have put us up by three scores. Yeah Mikey, talk about not living in your fears.

Second reason is Ben. Very rusty and not on same page with AB most of game. Three picks and his two fumbles killed us. Also, this team needs a third option at receiver. I thought that was going to be rookie Washington but if he’s not on the field. AB and JuJu won’t be enough going forward. Would have been nice to have had MacDonald.

No way Conner is a goat. Watt was player of the game and Conner was right behind him as No. 2 player of the game. As long as he doesn't make fumbling a habit, he will be our starter when Bell is gone.

Or early...or at any point. The loss was on Ben. He had a few chances late the game and didn't get it done. Then again in over time. Again didn't get it done and all but gave the Browns the win. One of the worst games of his career as someone stated in a thread somewhere.
 
Chicoman you take the prize for best 'sky is falling' post in recorded history. Congrats, man.

Refs were horrendous. Blew the punt that bounced off the Browns player, blew the Peppers fumble through the end zone, flags everywhere, most critical calls going their way. Fuuuuuck you

The sloppy play is a very strong argument for having him play a little more in preseason. That said, today's massive failure is primarily on Ben. He was awful - take away the JuJu 5 yard catch plus 60 yard run and Ben's numbers are even worse looking.
 
Alright, I need to look at some positives.

Conner was very good outside of the fumble. I think he can eventually develop into that big time workhorse, but I wouldn't mind mixing in a backup for 5 carries a game.

Watt was terrific. Four sacks and flying around the ball.

Hilton had at least three passes broken up. In fact, the defensive backs as a whole did a nice job making plays on the ball.

Switzer, wow it is nice to have a guy who can return the ball. Great early return on that trade.
