Steelers move up Ventrone, release Wes Johnson

is not like we have a lot of depth at OLine
 
Strange move removing O'line depth, since we still have Allen and Golden providing depth at the safety position while Shark's hamstring heals. Unless they see something special in Ventrone.
 
Why build depth when we have such solid and durable starters. Constantly confused with our direction the last few years. Big Ben (8-8), parliament (8-8), Big Ben... You get it. Maybe dangerously average is the direction

Between us and the Patriots, Ventrone has been waived about 15 times over the last three years.

At the risk of sounding like Tomlin, that's the new standard. We just want to be not awful.
 
Well we obviously have the pedigree to attain 8-8. I guess I should start drinking early today in anticipation of a lackluster performance leading to 3-3.
