Martavis Bryant released?

What a friggin dumb ***! He's one st00pid S.O.B. I'm sure Raider Nation right now is flipping out loosing Mack today & Bryant getting released after they traded us a 3rd Rounder for him and we took Mason Rudolph as the Steelers QB of the Future. Mack is a good player but the Bears IMHO are completely dumb to give up two 1st round picks.....I don't think they'll have a first round pick until 2021....that's just INSANE! Kudos to Colbert & the Steelers for getting rid of that bum while they could get something for him. I doubt any team would give up a dime bag now for Bryant!

Holy crap! Unbelievable! Million
dollar talent and a 10 cent brain!

What does this mean now, another year or lifetime ban?

When I covered sports I remember several coaches / team officials lamenting how much they hated going on road trips to Oakland. The drug culture there had a way of dragging in athletes, even if there for just a day or two. I wonder if that happened to Bryant.

Im 1987, Houston Rockets guards Lewis Lloyd and Mitchell Wiggins, after getting cocaine in Oakland, tested positive and were banned by the NBA for two years. It was a major setback for the Rockets, who were led by a young Olajuwon and up to then were considered a contender for an NBA title.

that sucked so hard when those to were booted from the league....Lloyd was a lot of fun to watch

^^^

Classic ******* scene. I still laugh at it today. LOL

Yeah it's always funny. I remember going with my dad to see that **** when it came out in the theater in 1978....**** I was 7 years old...haha.

You all beat me to the Marino thing. That one still pisses me off.

And he would have continued through the best teams in the 90s.

****,....that could of been near 15 more SBs,...........Oh what could have been.............

Salute the nation

I don't know, how have the Bears' first round picks of late turned out? And Mack is a future HOFer IMHO. You're essentially trading question marks for a sure thing (I know it's still giving up a lot).

I think this idea that of the bears sacrificing 2 1st round picks is a bit overblown. They've never really been a team to hit home runs with their 1st rd picks for quite a long time; I think they're correct to be fine with giving up 2 of them to get an elite defensive talent that may very well put them in position to compete for the top of their division on a consistent basis

Lol took the words right outta my mouth

"I was going to be a raidah Pro Bowler... but then I got high."

what a ******* loser, seriously you just have to keep sober for a couple of years to earn the contract of your life time, then you can retire and your grandchildren still will be covered for life...but then you got high.

On the other hand I do worry for him as a human being, let's remember he was suffering depression and stuff, imagine how depressed will he be tomorrow and probably for the rest of his days thinking on what could have been. The kid will need serious help to keep on with his life

Thanks for the third Gruden,....thanks for the third. LOL!

Now if we can only find a sucker who's willing to give up a high 1st round pick for Bell...

Why stop at only one 1st round pick when you are playing fantasizing? Why not 2? Or even 3 first rounders?

Welcome to the night shift son..

I don't wish anything bad on Bryant. I don't think he is a bad guy, but that was about as much value as you could possibly imagine and the best possible ending to the relationship. **** if Rudolph becomes a quality starter, that might be a franchise best value trade.

Slash is on point with Bryant not being a bad guy. Obviously, he needs an expanded support system. He had it here, but not on the west coast. Or rather the west coast got in the way. He’s fought depression for some time, although I read he was suffering from migraines recently.

Steelers take him back after his last major fuckup, he proceeds to whine all season about not being the number one receiver, gets the trade he wanted then goes and does drugs again. A bad guy? Maybe not. A complete idiot? Yes.

He dug his career hole.
The Steelers gave him a chance. The Raiders gave him a chance. Martavis only has himself to blame

I feel bad for him from that perspective but one would think someone with all his problems might have a hint of humility or gratitude.

If he had the latter he probably never would have had the former.

Part of what kept me outta some stuff was the idea that I couldn't do that to the people. who cared about me.

I do feel bad for the guy, too. It's a shame.
