Report: Steelers Trading For WR Ryan Switzer

It comes out. Its not racist. Its just a fact . ON this team of 80% Black players. This new guy is white. Its not a big deal. But yes.. he also draws comparisons to Edelman / welker etc.

But that is a known, why does it have to be brought up? Why is it necessary?

My whole point is in this country it is brought up entirely too much. White this and black this.

Coolie - It's too bad DeMarcus Ayers missed so much of camp last year (injured), then turned down the Steelers' offer for a spot on the practice squad.

Instead, it looks like he's about to make the Bears as their punt returner (and backup receiver). I think he's more talented than Switzer.

BTW: Could the Steelers finally be trying to mix in an Edelman/Amendola/Woodhead type of player?

I am saying that is part of the problem. Because it is a running topic everywhere. I just don't refer to my relatives as Black or African American. We don't constantly make color a subject. When I served we never did. But the media, message boards, etc. There is always some sort of topic here in the US. No wonder that there is so many problems on a day to day basis.

Hard to say if patterson faded or the QB play led to his recent stats. I hope he gets another shot

I'm definitely okay with the pick swap for Switzer. Seems like good value. He does have electrifying ability. It really has to make you curious though why TWO NFL franchises took a very quick look at him and decided they didn't need him. The Cowboys have one WR worth a damn and he's a rookie, and the Raiders are still trying to figure out how to get Martavis to care. I dunno. This is sketchy

That's a bit pricey, but if it means the end of Fitz, I'll take it. And being here in the DFW area, I've got a lot of bandwagon cowgirl fan friends who loved him when he was here. Might turn out to be a good trade, but it seems like we gave a lot.

An iffy prospect to make the team for a proven quality returner is a lot? SMH.

It’s not like the NFL has an abundance of white receivers or running backs. Other than TE, who was our last white receiver to make the 53? Of course it doesn’t matter but it is a bit of trivia.

Heard Pat Kirwin today say the Raiders discovered another returner on their squad this preseason who they see as more explosive, a WR who broke some returns.

Well if history tells us anything, he will spend the majority of the season on the sidelines injured.
