I was @ the game which was the perfect weather come game day. Nice and cool evening. Really enjoyable and of course anything that ends with a win is a good day.
Rewatched the game @ home to see if any of my opinions changed, they didn't.
The Good
The fans - for the ones who showed were enthusiastic, even had a wave going a handful of times.
Tuitt - Nice to see his early shine. Moving forward and into the regular season, I would like to see him keep to-it.
JaySam- I liked his vision and quick feet. I think this performance... between his pass catching and running locked him into a roster spot.
Conner - I continue to see his pass catching improve off of last year. I would have liked to have seen him break off a few of those touches for a better YAC. But still better showing than last year. And we welcome improvement.
Edmunds - Nice to see that INT, and you can see he is starting to get more comfy on the field.
Rudolph - Had a better showing. Would have even been better if not for penalties, iffy WR play, and at times iffy O-line play. Needs to work on his clock management. I also liked his shiftiness within the pocket. Arrow is pointing up obviously.
Vince Williams - He can make those splash plays.
Thomas- Making play after play, might find him a spot come final 53 cutdown day.
Adeniyi -Keeps making you want to see more. I am curious if it will be enough to stick on the final 53.
The Bad -
James Washington had a quiet night before sitting out with what looked like a minor injury. Still a work in progress, but I am sure he will keep working at it.
Big Ben was shaking off some rust. Looked like early he was listening to AwolNation with some of those errant passes. (think of the song, sail) But Big Ben still managed to get a TD out of Hunter.
Not alarmed or worried. But it did earn him a mention, not that I expect more of the same moving forward.
Brian Allen - I am not sure he shows enough to be anything long term. I thought he was a little slow on some plays.
The Ugly - the one fan I saw who didn't rise for the Anthem,he was teaching his kid well. He also didn't stand when they payed tribute to a deserving soldier. I hope the tool heard my comments. Just be respectful America.
