At the same time you don't think there is a element of loyalty there with Tomlin? Which might explain why he has been so patient with Butler, as well as secretly desiring Randy as a OC.

It's his team. I suppose there is a comfort working with guys, who you know, can do the job. Part of life.

True. But what you think you know and what is reality sometimes doesn't match. Butler for me should be a bubble coach. But I am note sure Tomlin shares that same opinion.

I'll agree the OLBs haven't been as good, plus drafting Jarvis hurt us a bit. But this group is showing pass rushing moves in the preseason. I'm pretty sure he was in on the idea to flip Watt and Dupree. We'll see if his coaching these young players pays off in the form of sacks this year.
